Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder and what to expect from OTAs | Falcons Final Whistle

Tori and Scott break down what to expect from Atlanta Falcons OTAs and minicamp, including storylines to follow during this practice-heavy portion of the offseason program. Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Casey Hayward, among others, will be top of mind for players to keep a close eye on as we move forward. But, as always, the primary focus will be on quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder (05:22).

This is crazy Marcus mariota and Winston were drafted one and 2 and were to be the greatest thing sense sliced bread both are in their 7 year it will be interesting to see if Mariota can stay healthy and play to his potential ., neither have so far

    Achilles Builds

And yet ppl still get in the draft hype on qbs. The NFL got it right this time. Stop taking these qbs so high. A 3rd round run on QBs is perfect.

@UC3🤙🏽MEM Matt Ryan had like 7 or 8 OCs in his 14 yrs here. He wasn’t cut any breaks from this fanbase. Matt Ryan made many OCs into HCs elsewhere. Mariotta has never made anyone into anything. We took a major step backwards. Coaching doesn’t have Mariotta taking unnecessary hits and leaving his team without a QB1. Our best best is to toss Ridder out there… See how he does and if he doesn’t do well then try again next draft. Wasting time on Mariotta is pointless. We need to know what we drafted. We all know what Mariotta is. A B rated QB that might win you a few of he stays healthy.

    UC3🤙🏽MEM

@Achilles Builds Atlanta gave him a second chance maybe to start off on a clean slate with some great weapons and hopefully a decent line unlike what he had in Tennessee where his receivers had no separation except his TE

@UC3🤙🏽MEM may the best man win I suppose lol. Going to be an interesting year.

I didn’t write this condemning either QB it was how sports writers same to think they have all the answers , like , oh they drafted him # 15 but I had him graded out at numbers 47 , when most of what is said is just B s . I honestly believe Ryan would have been a top tier rated QB if he had been anywhere else . Look what he did with the clowns he had for coaches .ONE offensive mind and boom Mvp , super bowl .lol

Keith Spencer

Personally I think both are going to be great

Pro Sports Outlook

Marcus Mariota had some promising years in Tennessee! Hopefully he excels in Atlanta!

Prophet Master

If they cut DJ, I’m interested to see if they kick the tires on some of these lineman in free agency. There are not only upgrades at guard and center but J.C Tretter is a top five center in the NFL. Paradis was one of the best centers in the league when the Panthers signed him. Defensive line upgrades can be had as well. Only way I don’t see the interest in these guys is if they want to play for a contender.

Nick bagnulo

Now they can do more play actions…boot legs…wild cats…qb draws.

Nick bagnulo

it starts and ends in the trenches

Samuel Davis

Trust me Lindstroms position is safe.

Tony Wright

And it’s also very possible that with the o-line starters staying the same that this group gells and shows a lot of cohesiveness after playing together a while now, 3/5th’s of the line has been together going into their 4th year now, 4/5th’s of the line has been together going into their 3rd year now and add second year player Jaylinn Mayfield to the mix makes 5/5th’s of the o-line going into its second year together

    John m

They were terrible! Run blocking and pass blocking ! I hope they do come together ! Time will tell *

    Tony Wright

@John m That’s the past, my point being they could come together on the here and now this season as they are familiar with each other

    John m

    Yes ! Man I hope so !

Kinggg Nova

I’ve been trying to figure out his name for like a year. Because i hear it and always think he saying my name Scott Bayard lol

ITS ON

Can’t wait to see Mariota ball out🤙🏽

Chris cason

Let’s go dirty birds!

World Wide Productions

Please do a interview with Marcus Mariota

OG Eddie Kane Jr

Tori we love your support and your voice ma’am 💓

Sun Quan Cheng

You had me at “Marcus Mariota”….lets Go!!

Bravo Cong

I think this QB room will be very healthy for both guys

uhhh Raven

Kyle pitts is 6’5 and some change basically 6’6

Sweetness Dabutta

If it was me I would move Deion Jones to SS….He plays more like a Strong Safety than a LB anyway….the man is the same size as Eric Harris but runs faster and has better hands…I think the Falcons have everything they already need in the locker room. He could be a ProBowl SS his 1st yr. Im just being real. He has all the tools you are looking for in a Strong Safety…run support can cover Slot WR, TEs and Running Backs…the man runs a 4.4….they should make it happen.

    davaughn237

    I fully agree

    marvin Boswell

I like Jones ,he’s been good since he was drafted but I think they will trade him for the money because they have covered the back end but not the O line or D line

KING-JAFFI-JOE

I think Timon said that quote “OUR TRIOS DOWN TO 2” …… showing my age!

Donna Hardin

Can’t wait to see him back in game

Joshua Smith

London is 6’4, Tate is 6’5, Pitts is 6’6
