That deep ball is so nice. My favorite QB of the draft, even if it is a “mediocre” class. The Steelers trading up for him would be questionable, but not far-fetched. I can definitely see a few teams making moves if they believe he is their next franchise QB. A massive project, but high potential.

I wasn’t happy when everyone was saying Pitt should take him in the draft, but after that showcase, I kinda hope they do.
Unfortunately I don’t think he’s still gonna be available.
Wilson on a unscheduled run, wanted Willis to throw to him on that last deep throw but he did not bust it off the line. The people who ran the QB part of the combine was not all up tight, they let those guys have a little fun. On a side note, Carson Strong impressed me, man he is not much of a mover, that San Diego State game he could not get out of the way that pass rush. A very good offensive line he may can do something. He has a big time arm.
@Mrpiccaso As a Washington fan Rivera is rumored to want Willis, hate to burst your bubble. We’d probably trade up for him, if they really like him.

I think Pittsburgh will be in position to take him. They may have to trade up a few spots. But he will be there because most teams know he will need a gap year and won’t be ready right away.
Love the talent, the personality, and the work ethic, but if he goes to Carolina or Washington, I’d be more skeptical of his potential, as he needs stability. Both teams definitely have talent, but I don’t trust Carolina’s coach and I don’t trust Washington’s organization. I can’t fault them if they do pick him though, it’s not my decision. Would love to see him go to Pittsburgh, New Orleans, or Denver though. Already one of my favorite Quarterbacks and he hasn’t even been drafted yet.
He grew up in Atlanta and is a big falcons fan, maybe matty ice trains him for a year then he goes in 🤷🏻♂

I’m a Carolina fan, I’d like to take him, let him sit, fire Rhule next year and get a new HC that wants to work with him. He’s obviously not going to learn anything from Darnold or whoever but selfishly I’d be happy with that scenario
As a Washington fan as long as Dan Snyder is the owner it’ll continue to be the same way

Malik Willis was one of my favorite players to watch last year during the College Football season, he’s a very exciting player. It’ll be interesting to see which team he goes to.
He can improve his accuracy and mechanics, but you can’t teach that arm strength.
My favorite part is that 20 years ago no one would have taken a guy from a small school early in the draft. I think that coaches are willing to take a chance on a guy who may not have been a top recruit out of high school, but turned into something in college. I don’t know enough about him and his career, his ability to read defenses, etc., but the physical skill is apparent. You get a staff that is willing to develop a player and you get a dude. And let’s be real; there is risk with the bigger name guys too….none of these kids are sure things.
And maybe I’m just pulling for him because there is nothing more fun than watching someone uncork a moonshot over the backend of a defense.

@AtmosOner why not build the roster this year and take a QB next year? They’re better prospects and it would allow us to take advantage of the rookie deal better. Especially if the roster is better

His highlights attempting to run away from LB’s at a lower level of competition I don’t think he has the speed people are repeating he has with most having never watched his games. It’s suspicious he chose to not run at either his proday or combine cause I think he knows people assume he’s faster than he really is. His best trait is a strong arm, but didn’t test the strongest at the combine outta this class which turned out to be the NC QB..
