Luke Getsy on offense’s development | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
JF1Bears4Ever 2 🇺🇦

Getsy’s first team offense scored 3 touchdowns in half the game. That’s the kind of offense that we’ve been wanting for a while. I have faith. 🐻👇

    N A

You’ll clearly have faith in anything lol just watch the games

Foot Ball

He’s talking no bs. 100% real here.

justin ethridge

This guy right here is going to change things for the better.

Wiliam Widlacki

Great job coach!!….we are liking what we see so far

The Truth, Honesty, & Love podcast

I think he is going to be a great coach for us..you can already see it with the play calls

    Thomas Gena

It’s not the “play calls” as much as it is the execution of the called play.
Listen to what Luke Getsy says about the Bears’ best WR, Darnell Mooney’s failure to execute the play properly (@ 1:30). That kind of accountability with ensure that the plays that are called, will be executed correctly. Every player has a place to be, at a specific time in a WCO (West Coast Offense).
It’s all about “eleven playing as one.”

It’s refreshing to watch a game without a lot of stupid offensive penalties… I love this coaching staff

    zaphenath73

@Mike Lasjo Nagy was a big joke in Chicago! He never made any real adjustments at half time and when Justin was starting, he also didn’t adjust his crappie offensive playbook to Justin’s strengths. I’m happy he’s with KC. Maybe he’ll learn from his mistakes with the Bears

    Jim George

@zaphenath73 I have to agree with Mike. All you guys we’re singing Nagy praises when he first got here and predicted he’d be great even though he hadn’t coached a game yet. Now you’re doing it with this coaching staff, but the second the bears start losing you will give them the same lousy treatment you gave Nagy at the end.

    zaphenath73

@Jim George I’m not ready to jump on the bandwagon yet. I know, the season will be ups and downs. I want to see positive growth with the young players and Justin. By midseason, we will know, who the Bears are, good or bad for the reminder of the season. Let’s Go Bears!

    Jim George

@zaphenath73 you jumped on the bandwagon when Nagy first got here and now your jumping on the bandwagon of these coach’s now.

    zaphenath73

@Jim George No, I wasn’t. I jumped on it at midseason. I really wasn’t a fan of Nagy’s offense, but the defense I was a big fan. The defense was the main reason the Bears went to the playoffs. If the kicker didn’t blow that field goal, who knows how far the Bears could’ve gone in the playoffs

Brenda Mckeitan

Love how he breaks stuff down, good coach 👌

bayotte4

I really appreciate listening to this man speak. He seems to hold himself and his men accountable to their respective performances. Solid hire for Poles and Eberflus on this one.

    Facts 🐻⬇️

    Alejandro Rodriguez

Absolutely, if he turns Justin and this offense into something respectable he’ll be getting picked from us by other teams in a couple years for HC

    Skylor Hamilton

@Alejandro Rodriguez then tyke Tolbert or Andrew Janocko step in as OC

Obilon Kenobi

Kudos to whoever taught Field’s that he cannot stare at receivers anylong and then taught him to use “the stare” as a weapon this preseason. Bravo to Justin for the improvement.

    Fixin Dan

That play reminds me of a similar play against the Seahawks in week two. He was also rolling to his left, had ESB slightly open on the sideline beyond the 1st down marker, but a LB or safety was closing in on him, and Fields took a shot in the end zone at Mooney instead that sailed high and wide. I wonder if Fields and Getsy reviewed that particular play and talked about fooling the defender with his eyes and take the 1st down when the deep option isn’t there. I can see Fields rolling to his left and right a lot this season, and if the deep option isn’t there he will have to get creative, do some pump fakes, and no-look short passes.

    Jim George

His listening to his feet was also way better then last yr. If your feet tell the rest of your body your not in position to make a particular throw you have to have the discipline to listen to your feet and find another option. His feet and his eyes we’re top notch and that works wether the game is a ore season game or a regular season game.

Jordan W

This guy is smart. We need him to be great because Justin Fields is a sponge and he’s gonna soak it in, good or bad.

    Thomas Gena

I think you are really right, there. Justin Fields is driven.

Dee Dunn

From first glimpse it seems as if he doesn’t like Fields, but what he’s really doing is making sure he keeps improving. You don’t want to overly praise a young QB because you don’t want them to feel like they’re already there and stop working. Great job at not falling into that trap

    Jim George

He knows you have to be able to repeat the process. Just doing it one game or even three games in a row isn’t good enough. Have to repeat the process game in and game out.

What’s up

Dude reminds me of “that coach” you had when you played high school, college or both. He’s the guy that guys follow, listen and want to play for. He is going to be special.

TTS Cam

Luke Gestsy is da best offensive coordinator da bears had since Ron Turner left in 2009 n it’s not even close 💯🤦🏾‍♂️ u can tell he actually knows how to set up plays n scheme guys open ✊🏾 he actually know wtf he is doing ‼️

    Jim George

Scheming guys open is so hard to do, yet he has figured out how to do it , over and over again.

    TTS Cam

@Jim George no it’s not🗣 u gotta understand your personnel n u gotta understand coverage n concepts ‼️ there is a hole on every defense 💯 da problem with Nagy was he ran zone concepts for man coverage and Man beating concept against zone converge 💯 he didn’t use move da pocket ,use da same play for different formations to get better match ups , set up with da run to open up passing lanes , play action, Rpos, screens , etc watch how Luke Getsy does it u gone c a huge difference ‼️💯

    Jim George

@TTS Cam bears are going to run the ball down peoples throat this yr. They didn’t bring in a true fullback for nothing. Then they are going to play action teams to death.

    TTS Cam

@Jim George we ran da ball a lot last year bro we was like 10th in rushing attempts and tht is without fields for 7 games and not doing any design runs with him ‼️ what Gestsy going to do is use to set up play action, deep shoots, rpos and throwing lanes off of it something Nagy would never do 💯

    Jim George

@TTS Cam we’re going to run the ball down other people’s throats way more then we did last yr.

Plank

I’m impressed with this coaching staff. 🐻⬇️

    Thomas Gena

    100%, Dougie!!!

Timothy James

Finally got a real good offensive coordinator coach 🙌

Electric

This is what competent coaching and playcalling looks like when an QB with elite skills is not sabotaged by an incompetent, inept fraud of a head coach.

Kevin Ruiz

I’m so happy…we got LUKE is in our team..he’ll develop JF1 real good..beardown

DANIEL DELGADO

Damn I know it’s early, but DAMN I LOVE THIS COACH! He tells it how it is! Media was pushing and wanted to put fields in the HOF, but coach kept on reminding the media that it’s a process. Bears can make it if they put the work in. Trust the process!! I am all in on Getsy, we found our coach Bears fans!!!

Alex H

The best part about this presser is that Getsy realizes that a “great” game does not always translate to a “great year”…. the work is only starting for this offense… looking forward to the journey (which will have some bumps and bruises)… 🐻🔽

Keith Ellis

Coaches look great so far! GO BEARS!!!!!
