Even worse was Herbert’s decision to force it to Williams. Staley has turned Herbert into a one read QB. Drop back, stare the guy down and throw it as hard as you can. He deserves a better HC.

@Alex Martinez Yeah and how many times have those “gambles” lost the Bolts games, even got kicked from playoff contention last year in quite literally the last seconds of the game. They were in no position to do it today too.

Yeah I call him Awesome Eckeler. Use it!! 👈But I like how Kelley seems to be getting better. Eck’s been looking for some help on running the ball and it looks like if Kelley continues to step up, then we will have a better running game. Sony Michel and Spiller, Roundtree and others are just not getting it done. I hope Kelley dials it in so he can spell #30 and Austin can stay healthy. He’s taking a beating out there!

This was a fun game . I’m a Niners fan for life, but the Chargers have always been one of my favorite AFC teams. Going back to the days of Natrone Means, Antonio Gates, Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison. It’s nice to see them contending again. Still wish they’d never left San Diego, though.

Everyone in L.A. wanted the Raiders, but instead they got the Rams and Chargers.
I bet if you polled Angelenos and asked if the Chargers should be in L.A. or San Diego, most would say either “I don’t care about the Chargers,” or “San Diego.”
If you look at football-related apparel worn by people in L.A., it goes Raiders>Rams, and it would be hard to tell whether the Chargers are even a home team.
Just remember that nobody, not even the majority of the other coaches in the NFL wanted the Chargers to move…except Dean Spanos.

@Steve chargers won their first playoff games each of their last two times being in the playoffs.
If Staley keeps making dumb decisions like that 4th and 2 call at the end of the game – instead of pinning them deep with only 1 minute and no timeouts, and trusting his defense to hold them – the chargers will miss the playoffs yet again. Baffles me how you can risk doing that on your own side of the field in that situation only being up by 2 😤

This game was absolutely nuts. Huge plays everywhere highlighted by the typical Staley questionable fourth downs. In the end, nobody out choke the Browns. This game is typical of their entire season. Chubb can run for 300 yards and the Browns will still lose on a field goal.

I don’t think Staleys decision to go for it on 4th down is that bad. It’s risky for sure but if they convert, that’s the game. You have one of the best young quarterbacks in the league, I get it.

If it were against Mahommes, I’d agree that going for it makes sense, but I’d gladly challenge Brisset to go the length of the field with no timeouts. From the 50 means they need just one decent play for field goal range.
@Tony J Brissett minus the INT was practically flawless though. You get a chance to win with a down and distance that should be converter 3/4 times. Even if they convert, the Browns still need to make the plays to get the FG. It’s like compounding your chances to win instead of just relying on your defense

I just cannot take any more seeing the Browns lose all the time as for God it’s a must he puts a stop to this these crucial games from now on when the Browns have an opportunity to get first place or extend their lead in first place I am counting on him to help the Browns capitalize and so far this season he’s one for three helping the Browns get first place and I don’t expect him to help losing teams win anymore or any team that beats the Browns or comes back will struggle and not have a playoff appearance or super bowl championship for the next 20-30 years I’m just so upset I told God if this happens again I’m completely cutting him out of my life for good
