So this was a fairly short highlight reel… Weird how Justin Jackson is outperforming all of the Chargers backups, in Detroit now… I suspect we’ll soon see why that wasn’t a good decision, to not resign him.
They gave him plenty of opportunities.Have a nice little breakout and then get hurt..rinse and repeat for four years.Spiller going to be good
@Dontno Nowuno The Chargers have a bad record of keeping skill players and linemen healthy, generally… And poor blocking can lead to injured running backs. Frankly, I think more was made about him being injury-prone than was actually true. And they generally under-utilized him. He’d often set a up an easy score, to watch Ekeler walk it in… Or worse yet, to watch a rookie fumble it away.
Spiller may develop into something, yet – but so far, in the preseason, his numbers aren’t anywhere near to those of Jackson.
I’m so frigging glad preseason is done, im just worried about our depth. I really hope special teams can be good because alot of these guys are going to be on special teams and it’s worrisome. This preseason has looked awful tbh.
If we got a punter that can punt it to the rooftops and a kicker that can boot it thru the end zone(like tonight) then my stress levels go down.No coverage necessary
Personally, I thought they did pretty well before half considering the Saints were running starters

This team is very thin… the second string is horrible. At least the special teams didn’t give up anymore TDs

Only Bandy stood out for me. Rookies and backups awful..

Nothing about the Chargers preseason games looks good. The offense is impotent and the defense was on skates like always. Nobody stood out, maybe Bandy but he’s practice squad fodder.
