Every once in a while he would come to the after school rec program at the Denver Jr High that I went to in the early ’70’s. Cruising a baby blue ’57 T-Bird, and more often than not, he would have Nehemiah Wilson a DB from the Raiders with him. They’d then play ball for a while with the bigger/older guys when the gym went to full court games at seven. Those highlights brought to mind that unless you had season tickets, you only got to see half of his games, specifically road games, because of network broadcast restrictions back then regarding home games.
