I honestly do not understand the hate. He’s one of the best coaches in the game. Definitely a top 10 offensive coach. He’s had a top 10 offense with Brissett Mayfield and Cousins. These aren’t high schoolers they don’t they some crazed lunatic to yell at them to get inspiration. If they don’t have something that’s driving them they don’t get to this level. His job is to manage the team (part of that is firing woods and priefer this off-season) create the plays and call them. The second two he does at an elite level. And yes his play calling is elite. I don’t care if you don’t understand his playcalls and sure some won’t work. He is one of the best in the game at it. You won’t be able to find anyone else close to his level if you do fire him. Getting rid of him would be one of the worst moves of all time.

He is coaching returnmen into terrible return habits. Current dpj is the only competent return man he has managed to develop during his entire tenure here. The return defense has been asinine the majority of the time he has been here and stupid calls like that all out rush early in the first quarter when we would have had great field position anyway and with a normal return block dpj probably would have room to return it a bit that caused a running into the kicker penalty. And just overall being bad at everything in his job description.
@SmolUselessBread the in game decisions I am referring to are not just some call he makes calling as an “offensive coordinator” he is the coach offensive, defensive, and special teams calls fall at his feet ovee the last three years how many games have we lost by three points or less and in the same game he has failed to take a simple field goal a lot of times teams are using the same game plan in the beginning of the game at the end of the game meaning we haven’t made any adjustments he is a graet offensive mind but a bum coach
@Light of The Olive and there it is. The standard misconception on the job of hc. It is NOT his job to run all three parts of the team. His job (and this changes from coach to coach some are more defensive like bellicheck) is to run the offense. Other than that it’s a managerial position. It’s his job to fire the other coaches that aren’t doing well. Like priefer and woods. If he neglects that this off-season then I will be right with you saying he’s a bad coach. But he it is not directly his job to make sure the defense and special teams are performing well.

Good team win. I know how hard it is to win games in the NFL, I remember in 2017 win the Browns went winless that year. The Ravens have a very good defense and the Browns had to fight very hard for this win. I know the Browns are not going to the playoffs, but I want them to keep fighting hard so that they can build towards something next season.

True, but their defense is among the toughest and we beat them with a QB who has only played in three games in two years and with this team, no training camp, no nothin’…pretty damned impressive dude.
The coaches? The DC too? The guy that said last week that with the Bengals losing 2 of their top 3 WR’s stumped him and he didn’t know what to do? A DC who should have been planning to double team Chase the whole damn game then it got easier to do so and he was stumped? That DC? He beats a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens team and we just gonna forget about that Kevin? You’re not going to win enough meaningful games with a DC like that. I’m sure he’s a great guy but he’s not ready for the position he’s in.
stefanski is a good coach, and it would be a mistake to fire him. but jesus he gets in his own head too much with play calling. he’s got the best back duo in the league and he’s giving kareem 4 carries while chubb is suffering. the ravens stack the box knowing it’ll stop chubb inside, so get kareem in there with a counter or a pitch and make them pay outside. keep things moving to work both guys talents
That’s because they paid 230 million for a QB to pass…this team was built to run, and they will completely change their offense for D Watson…WORST move in Browns history…Chubb, their best player, will suffer with less carries from this point on…and this is Hunts last season w/ the Browns, so that will have an effect as well….Browns will be the new Texans…Watson will throw for alot of yds & team will have 4-6 wins..👍

Browns did a good job today. They just pushed my Bengals from 5th to 3rd in the Playoff hunt.
Imagine what it would be like with a full season of Deshaun Watson as our quarterback. Browns fans haven’t seen nothing yet, it’s going to get better next week against the Saints.

Our kicker could have been included in that stats today if he didn’t miss those manageable fields goals. He needs to improve in those expected points situations.
