Im afraid so… Jerry Jones is a damn fool…
At least we’re not stuck with your favorite QB Andy Dalton.
Lost our starting QB, lost LT, C, and Zack Martin, and the defense has rookies. Coach McCarthy cut underperforming players that were supposed to make an impact. Defensive players couldn’t figure out the scheme so they had to simplify the playbook. The same for the offense, which basically consists of backups. All things considered Coach McCarthy is doing well with what he’s got.
Man you Cowboys fans are really something. They lost two starting tackles in the first series of the game (albeit Martin was not 100% to begin with and Erving is a third stringer), and the defense had a makeshift secondary with third string safety playing CB. The play calling certainly didn’t help but they just ran out of steam/willpower in the 4th QTR. Zeke fumbling for no reason was a killer. Just ripped the heart out of the team.
It’s not like the backups never played o line and db before. They didn’t become back ups because coaches don’t trust them, it’s reverse so there is no excuse playing like 1st time Pop Warner kids.
@Reginald Johnson Yeah but your putting up these guys against the best front four in football. Even T Smith, Laell, etc. woudl have had their hands full.
@Romulo Delmendo then the back ups need to use this opportunity to be the new best 5.
This interview proves Mike McCarthy is just another stand up puppet coach in which Jerry Jones is pulling all the strings… He has no say so or control of anything on this team… Is all a big lie trying to fool us Cowboy Fans into believing this is a normal professional football organization… Wake up people its been this way for the last 25 years !!! Jerry Jones has been an Obsessive Control Freak ever since he fired Jimmy Johnson… The Dallas Cowboys will never have a good NFL Coach because most will refuse to be a stand up puppet coach with no control over the team… Mike McCarthy should feel shame Everytime he speaks as he is a embarrassment to all other professional sport coach’s… This team will never win another Superbowl as long as its owed by the Jones Family…
So stop whining and bye the Cowboys..
Why dosent dallas put Garret Gilbert in
Dalton wasn’t the problem
Dalton played good the coaching is the problem
At least Gilbert gave the team a chance to win against a much tougher defense.
The offense lineman are too bad, that’s why dalton needed to throw the pass fast but the wr were still between 5 to 15 yards
