What a year Holmes, Campbell, et al have given us Lions fan. The Lions are roaring again, critics be damned.

Scott Merkle

I hope Dan &company are learning as much as possible from Ben Johnson because I’d be surprised if he isn’t a head coach next year.

    Brian Brown

This is Ben’s first year running an offense. I seriously doubt an offer for the whole enchilada of another team will be there just yet. They will whisper his name certainly, but I can’t see a team taking that leap.

    Robert Corsini

Ben will still be here in 2023. If we take off next year, he will get a lot of attention. Nothing to worry about now.

J B

1:08 – Tim, Fields wasn’t right after that last big run; they didn’t let him run it again after that. Also, on the play where Houston stripped Fields and we recovered the fumble, Rodriguez smoked Fields in the helmet with his own helmet and then Fields was clearly concussed but somehow he was cleared to keep playing. What do y’all think about that?

    Paul Mayer

If he didn’t pass concussion protocol he wouldn’t have been out there.

    J B

    @Paul Mayer you’d think so

    Paul Mayer

@J B I was surprised to see him out there after that but…🤷🏼‍♂️ Must have been ok

Doug Michael Roossien

Irony …Seattle has to lose to the Rams for us to have a chance to make playoffs. But our Ram pick goes from 6th to maybe 8th. I think they lose …and we” be sitting out the playoffs …but I’m so proud of what they have done

    Robert Corsini

exactly. Playoffs remote. I’ll take sweeping the Pack. But even of we lose, this was a great rebound from 1-6 start! Future looks bright.

    Doug Michael Roossien

@Robert Corsini right how long since we’ve had a chance to sweep GB? …and they are hot and unlike last year when it didn’t matter …this one does. No matter if we go to the playoffs or not …we have reset the NFL’s opinion of our team

Fredric Clack

Swifty 2 WR?! 🦁 PRIDE!

“James Houston might be something” ? Lmao he is something

    J B

Seeing that determination to not quit on a play, AND the wherewithal to go for the strip of the ball has been damn near absent from our team for decades. Very refreshing to see guys like him and Hutch of course (among others), showing this promise. I’d love to see us get stronger on D thru our next set of picks and maybe a key FA depth signing or 2 to shore up the back 7 this off-season.

    Travis

That speed close on fields in open field was something the lions have lacked all of my life. Pay that man, he’s on a 2 year making a mil next year.

Blake Handshake

As a Bears fan I am rooting for the lions next week to make the post season. And rooting for the rams.

Lionize

To me this young team has already accomplished all they set out to do at the beginning of the season despite glaring holes on defense which I expect them to fill in the off season. Cap space isn’t all you think it is though guys. It’s estimated we have around $20 mill of it already tied up in players we are expected to re-sign. (Chark, Jamaal, Evan Brown, Deshon, Buggs, Cominsky, Kraemer, Wright, etc.) That only leaves us around $8 mill unless Holmes does some restructures or cuts some players who are contracted for next year.

Tim Stort

Goff is our QB, what else need he do?

    J B

He’s been way better than I expected but I still hope to see him get a connection going with Jamo and stop underthrowing our wideouts. Maybe I was spoiled by the Stafford days in that regard, but it’s hard to nitpick too much with the results he and the rest of the offense have put up this season.

    Justin Chase

@J BI agree but to say no way don’t take a QB is also ignorant. We have no clue what we have in sudfeld and with concussion protocol becoming more of a thing having a viable backup/competing for starter is important(example 49ers). If Holmes wants to go Levis or Richardson or someone else I’m down as long as he still drafting guys like Houston and Roderiguez in later rounds of the draft.

Brian Brown

A win in Green Bay would make the Lions 5-1 vs the North this season. The expectations of a North title next season would be 100% warranted.

GO LIONS!!!

The fans need to see the video that was played at Ford Field. Make it happen, media team!

    Montarctica

    What video?

    Julian K.

@Montarctica A hype video that summed up the season and Campbell’s “the 2022 DetroitLionswill be the team that can and will” quote, Ford Field got so loud

Chucky Huston

They turn it around the last half of the season but it would be very frustrating if they don’t get that 9th win

Rick K.

Does everybody realize we only have three wide receivers signed after this season, St Brown, Jamo, and Cephus who has been non-existent and garbage. Every single other wide receiver on our team is an unrestricted free agent. Ironic that when people discuss the draft they don’t even talk about drafting a wide receiver. I would like us to resign Reynolds and Raymond although I’m sure they can get more money on other teams but I believe their love and connection to the team will make them resign. I don’t understand why this hasn’t been discussed when people talk about the draft. With LA’s win today I think it’s clear that at best their draft pick will be between 5 and 7 Jalen Carter and Will Anderson will definitely be gone by then and we don’t need a quarterback. I would love to see Detroit take Quinton Johnston. Detroit needs that X-Type receiver who is 6 ft 5 220. Imagine him starting with Jamo and St Brown. Use your second first round pick and both your second round picks to get a DT, MLB then next best defensive player available. Not a fan of drafting corners because typically they take 3 years to transition to the NFL as it’s the second hardest position to transition to other than quarterback. With the exception of Jeffrey Okudah I think all the other starters at corner are in their second year and a lot coming off of injuries. I’d rather see Detroit sign the top two free agent cornerbacks that are young but proven. Guys coming off their rookie contract maybe in there 4 th 5th or 6th season. Id try to sign one to a two or three year contract and the other one to maybe a one-year contract with possible second year option that would make a dramatic Improvement to the defenses worst position and allow the young Corners to develop such as Jerry jacobs, Armani, CJ Moore, and I would like to see Iffy move back to his original position of corner. I don’t see edges being up position of need seeing that we have Hutchinson and Romeo Okwara and James Houston.

    Justin Chase

Your wrong look it up we have them all through 2023 they his free agency in 2024. Also Brad Holmes will get who he needs to where and when he needs to. You need to calm down. We can get upgrades everywhere over time obviously with this being the case and the defense being where it’s been this season those concerns are valid as is getting a WR or RB for the future. I don’t think Holmes will go all defense I think that is handicapping yourself to possibilities that could be great for your team and Holmes is a smart guy.

Fight Forever

They need to have multiple QB helmets ready incase they have microphone issues like they did today.

Marvin Barr

I will be over the top excited to see the Lions go to the playoffs but I would love to see them win against Green Bay and end the season on a high note even if we don’t make the playoffs so excited the teams positive progress this year it’s been fun to watch GO LIONS ‼️‼️‼️
