Ik I’m in the minority here, like SUPER minority. !but I’d take Isaiah Simmons #1. I really would. Joe Burrow is real good, don’t get me wrong. But is he a franchise changing QB like Tom Brady or Drew Brees? We won’t know for sure till he gets a few years under his belt, but my gut tells me no. Simmons can play anywhere on the field, he’s the prototypical defensive player/LB that you’re looking for nowadays. Can cover TEs/RBs with the best of em, sure tackler, can blitz the QB, and can even cover WRs apparently. He’s a superstar. I’d take him over JB AND Chase Young. Chase is really good, don’t get me wrong. I agree I think he’ll be very good in the NFL. But I ain’t so sure if he’s this generational talent that he’s being made out to be. He disappeared against great competition in college, and that competition is only gonna get better once he gets to the NFL. I ain’t saying Chase is gonna be a bust, but if we’re expecting him to be Khalil Mack esque, I wanna hold off on that, until I see him play. Isaiah Simmons on the other hand, played at his BEST when the lights came on. It definitely is no fault of his that Clemson lost the title game.

@Son Goku lol you need more than 1 game sample size. Anyways you missed my point. Teams have been passing like crazy over the last 10 years so, Defenses adjust by smaller faster players. That hurts you against big physical run teams. 49ers are just one example of the tide turning back to run heavy offenses. The Ravens another. Top 4 rushing teams ALL made playoffs. Top 4 passing NONE made playoffs. mic drop.

Ik it’s pretty much already a fact the redskins are ganna grab Chase Young but imagine how athletic the linebacker core would be if they had Kerrigan, Sweat and Simmons
If we trade back and got some 1st and him that’d make trading back a lot less upsetting but I still want chase at 2. “Chase has better technique then the bosa’s better reach and first step, more athleticism then garett and versatile like khalil mack”

You guys may not even get Chase. Rumor is that the Skins are very interested in Tua after meeting with him at the combine. You guys are also in perfect position to trade with a QB needy team and it’s now being said that 4 QBs may be taken to 10 after seeing the combine. We shall see, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Skins traded the pick away for more draft capital.

This don’t make no sense how fast these linebackers are getting almost every year they getting faster and faster beating out a lot of running backs in the 40 and catching up to the wide receivers
Evolution of the game…long gone are the days of the big hulking linebackers who can stuff the run…now linebackers need to be mobile who can cover the passing game and have good tackling technique
