I find risks when extending players to be not worth it. Like when a player who wants big money underperforms.

Everybody keeps saying if he had an agent, it would be so much better. But correct me if Iβm wrong: does the player have to accept what terms the agent brings back to him? If LJ had an agent and he didnβt like the offer, the contract still wouldnβt be done π€·πΎββοΈ
Sports agents are shaking in their boots that Lamar will be successful in negotiating a new mega-deal by himself…because that might be the writing on the wall that the sports agent middle man won’t be necessary for much longer. Listening to the sports media you get the idea that if Lamar had an agent, that agent would be telling him to back off the Watson numbers and accept whatever the Ravens are willing to pay…as most in the sports media are saying…even guys who were former players! Lamar has been betting on himself since high school. And it’s incredible that after all he has achieved in college and the NFL that he STILL has to bet on himself, and still prove the doubters wrong.

Agents get paid for getting the player to sign a deal. My agent got 12%, trust me no matter what Lamar Jackson wants, he wouldβve settled by now if he had an agent because an agent it NOT going to pass on such a huge payday.

I can’t imagine Lamar Jackson playing the season out without a long-term extension. That would be one of the most idiotic decisions and athlete has ever made. He’s got everything to lose and little to gain by doing that.
