Hi Brother, I’m Belgian and I’ve been particularly interested in Γ€ lΓ  NFL for a while now and I have a question regarding the NFL conversion rule. When we talk about “3rd down conversion”, is it only by “Touchdown” or the “Fieldgoal” also counts as a conversion?

marquese hall

Matthew Rivers

Image if jobs or employers used this same stupid logic. You been working at the company for 4 years but still want to wait until year 7 to give you a raise.

James Austin

I understand it… I’ve got a pair Jordan Sky’s and I don’t know when/where to wear them either…

Corion2121

My man Rap knows not the difference between 1s and 4s. How adorable! πŸ₯ΉπŸ˜

The Bills remind me of the 2015-2016 panthers. Let’s hope they can actually go and win it. I know it’s week 1 but that was a great showcase for the Bills.

Can you seriously not get Rapaport a decent network connection? The 2 second delay cutting to him and back is always so painful

“Matthew Stafford didn’t look like Matthew Stafford.”

Come on, the guy was under siege. Why is nobody talking about the Rams LT? He got run over, around, and underneath. Stafford was hit, not pressured but hit, on 15 of 41 (37%) drop backs and sacked 7 times. And that was without, if what I read is correct, not a single blitz. The Rams rushed 4 leaving 7 guys to cover and the Oline didn’t give Stafford enough time to find open receivers. 1/2 of his completions 13/26 went to Kupp. Who caught 13/15, 128 yards, 1 TD. What was the rest of the team doing? And with all this they were only able to rush for 52 total yards on 18 carries (2.9 YPC). Now I know they couldn’t continue to run the ball once they fell behind but how can they be pressuring the QB like that and the team not be able to run the ball? Something was very wrong overall.

I’ll start with McVey getting outcoached. McVey is one of the best coaches in the league but he got chewed up in this game. Reminded me of the SB when Belichick was able to completely shut down their offensive game plan. I could overlook it with an inexperienced coach and QB because it was Belichick and that’s what he does. What’s the excuse now though? He’s now a SB winning coach with a veteran QB. But sure, blame Stafford.

Stafford was pressing and that caused a couple of those picks. But I’d rather have my QB go down swinging than worrying about his stats more than trying to win the game. I’m a Cowboys fan so I know what that looks like with Prescott. Do nothing for 3 quarters and then pad stats in the 4th while letting the opponent completely dictate the game flow. Screw that, throw a pick trying to win the game rather than letting the clock run out while your getting completions underneath the prevent D.

@Shin That’s Dak not Stafford, lol. We all know Cousins plays the game for one reason, to get paid. Yards and passer rating FTW!

    Mr. Brenman21

@Shin Kirk Cousins is a good quarterback.

    Shin

@Mr. Brenman21 never said he wasn’t, it’s just this is what his OL looked like.

    Relayer6a

@Mr. Brenman21 He thinks he’s better than good and for some reason the Vikings keep paying him to not win anything.

    ok ya

Hahahahh got angry at people saying it? Americans get so mad wayyyy tooo easily.

Luis Rodriguez

Those are the Jordan 1 bleached corals not the Jordan 4 military blacks even after they corrected him he still doubled down

Hi brothers, I’m Belgian and I’ve been particularly interested in Γ€ lΓ  NFL for a while now and I have a question regarding the NFL conversion rule. When we talk about “3rd down conversion”, is it only by “Touchdown” or the “Fieldgoal” also counts as a conversion?

    THEREAL JoshuaCaleb

Football is a game where one team takes possession of the ball and has 4 tries to go 10 yards in order to get a new set of “4 tries” or also called “downs”.
Upon reaching 3rd down, a team short of the 10 yard requirement will need to make up the rest of the distance in order to retain possession of the ball.
Once the team reaches that “line to gain” they will get a set of 4 new tries also called “downs”.

If a team scores a touchdown they are awarded 6 points, and 1 attempt at scoring an additional 1 or 2 points depending

A 3rd down conversion is where the team who possesses the ball was able to pass the line they need to make it to in order to get a new set of downs.

A 4th down conversion is where this happens on their last “try” or “down”. Typically a team will kick the ball; either a punt or a field goal try so that the opposing team has a longer distance to reach their goal.

Apologies for redundancy, I wanted to make sure it was understood that a “down” is another way to say “attempt” or “try”.

Football is fun to play and fun to watch, I am glad you are taking interest.

@THEREAL JoshuaCaleb so if I understand correctly, the Fieldgoal counts as a conversion?
