He’s grown so much as a Passer from his MVP season to now its not even funny. The 2nd TD to Duvernay was a no look throw, but I guess we only salivate over those when they’re done by Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, or Stafford.

1st time LJ played in 8 mth so this was his pre-season warmup game. In his post game interview LJ said he felt stiff and out of rhythm. I believe he goes for 4-5 td 300+ yards for home win against dolphin.
@Flirken1 I’m not blaming the receivers😂chill out. Im just pointing out he only threw 30 passing attempts so 3 drops makes a huge difference when it comes to passing %. Either way it was raining so I expected dropped balls, all 3 of his td passes were beautiful tho.

This is the perfect example of where the people who just read stats don’t understand what happened. It was a home opener, on 9-11 in NYC, the ravens played no starters at all in preseason, still no Dobbins or Stanley, and it rained. Yea it was a bit sloppy. Lamar got practically no help from the run game at all. Lamar missed a few throws, but did more than enough to carry the offense to a victory.
And on top of that, greg roman is still holding him back
@Francisco Davis Precisely he literally has no business performing the way he does with all the aforementioned things and Roman to top it all off. He has arguably one of the worst OC’s in the league by far and a coach that doesn’t play to his/the team’s strength when it matters most.

Raven receivers was actually well covered, Lamar threw into some tight windows.
It seemed like his first few throws were off cause he didn’t play in the preseason. But after that, he was making some absolutely beautiful throws.
I’ve seen a lot of throwing quarterbacks who were a threat to run and running quarterbacks who were a threat to throw, but the balance he has between those two skills, and how quickly he can switch from one to the other is always jaw-dropping.
