George Floyd died of an overdose while being detained
Jacob Blake tried to wrestle officers trying to detain him and went back to his vehicle to get what could’ve been a weapon to attack officers with or an attempt to escape
BLM creates division, it doesn’t heal it, cities burning down creates division, it doesn’t heal it. Kneeling doesn’t raise awareness, the real, horrible racists in the world laugh it off, instead of kneeling on a sideline or locker room, go and invest money into communities to help build up infrastructure and education in these black communities, help keep the nuclear family community, help stop gang violence and create environments where people don’t grow up to go nowhere in life. Bolt up!
Accidents don’t make up for murder. There isn’t any circumstance where a regular black man can “accidentally” shoot and kill a cop and get away with it. So why the other way around? George Floyd definitely didn’t die on overdose alone. If you think kneeling on a man’s neck for 8 min while he’s yelling “I can’t breathe” didn’t play a part. You’re either more delusional or racist than I thought. And you call it a way to “detain” someone? Really? Oh, and this dude with no obvious weapon in his hand is trying to get away isn’t justified by shooting him in the back 7 times. If these were you’re own family members your mindset of these situations would complete change.

You guys are picking the wrong hills to die on… I get there is a problem, but these are mostly bad people who deserve the spot they put themselves in… the evil cloud you blame for everything is MUCH smaller than you think it is… I will stand by you on the obvious problems, George Floyd was one, but you are NOT putting yourselves in the shoes of police officers and what they do each day… I am a computer engineer that has very little ties with PD… I work in local government and see just how easy people blame ‘the man” for stupid stuff so stupidly out of control of anybody… bad things happen… tired of every junkie being a martyr for racism… tired of rich athletes taking the side of criminals and everyone forced to agree or be labeled racist… media is controlling a lot of you like scared sheep.
i think ur missing the point – they are trying to bring attention to a negative situation that a lot of people face today. I would say the message is to simply support the equal treatment of everyone. When people bring up disbanding the police or “blaming the man” i think they too are missing the point. There is clearly a deeper social issue where some people actually feel that people of colour are worth less – and these are people who make up our society, everywhere. Its up to you to decide how to view the message – but if you feel like you’re forced to agree, try to change your perspective 😀
Breonna Taylor, Atationa Jefferson, Stephon Clark, Botham Jean, Philando Castile, and Alton Sterling were completely innocent yet was killed by police. That’s a just few out of many innocent people murdered by the police but it ok in your eyes they’re ‘bad people’. Officers are supposed to take control of a situation not get scared or nervous to the point where there’s an innocent life lost. People aren’t sheep if they notice a consistent pattern.
Man these guys need to focus on football.
