@steven w the only reason we were near .500 both years was because of Kirk. He just rose above egregious play calling both offensively and defensively.

Is it me or does Kirk seem more emotional, which is not a bad thing, now that Zimmer is gone. Might be looking too much into it given how early it is but he seems more upbeat which visibly shows.

@Brandon B the entire offense failed when the games mattered but when the games didn’t matter anymore and the playoffs were out of reach, all of a sudden this team put up a lot of points and Cousins became a stat machine lol. Weird eh??? I agree the defense is to blame along with the special teams and coaching but 4 years and one playoff win with him under center as a whole is acceptable to you??? Were so lucky to have QB consistency for once. Sure he isn’t the best in the NFL but there can only be 1 of those and there are 32 teams. We have a top 8 QB and thats more than anything we’ve ever had for multiple years in a row.

I don’t care what anyone says. Kirk is good people and I’m glad he’s our guy. We have never had a consistant QB that we can count on since I’ve been a fan in 1997. I’m glad that we finally have a guy that we can build around. He has never been the problem since he’s been a Viking. Is he perfect? Absolutely not. But he is smart with ball and a precision passer and we could do alot worse. SKOL VIKES!!!! Let’s go!!

Im hoping we see Kirks best years to come. Lowkey he has improved since 2018 with his pocket awareness and scrambling. .. he still isnt good at those but hes not a complete liability. That being said, best QB in vikings history will still be Fran Tarkenton
@Miles I agree, but since 2019 and the first 6 games of 2020 kirk hasn’t been the problem. Consistency has been one of his biggest flaws but at the same time what do people expect when a halfback draw was the go to and 3rd and long. More consistent play calling and the abundance of weapons he has at his disposal, the best is for sure yet to come.
Hopefully the team puts everything finally together this year and help this man get some due respect.
@Speedy You lost me right there at “borderline elite at times”. That tells me all I need to know. Of course the defense and special teams are to blame but it’s very baffling that you forget this offense couldn’t score in games that mattered more

@AlbertV90 Kirk has showed flashes of great QB play and that’s undeniable be honest now 🤣 The offense stalled a lot but that wasn’t as much on Kirk as it was bad playcalling in those big game situations. I think you’re being a little hard on him. You do realize we could have someone like Daniel Jones as our QB instead right?

@Shane Bruggeman I think you might need to update that opinion. He drove the field to score late at least 7 or 8 times last season – but our defence buckled after 3 or 4 of them. Dalvin fumbled one, Joseph shanked another, and some other opportunities were killed by terrible play calling.
Yeah, one thing that bugs me with some of these high profile mock drafts – when these analysts get all mushy thinking about Herbert throwing deep balls to Jameson Williams, Mike Williams, and Keenan Allen.
I wonder whether why they haven’t thought about Jameson at 12 first and Kirk bombing him, with even bigger threats than the Chargers with JJ, Thielen, and Irv underneath, and Dalvin in the back field.
The Vikes outplayed the Chargers in their own backyard last year without Jameson, so how tough would they be with him?
