Kirk has put up great numbers in his career! He will have another great season in 2022!
@4funds no, I’ve watched every game he’s played for the Vikings and I can honestly remember like 2 games ever straight up being Kirk’s fault, and that was 2018-19. The defense was on the field too much? With how bad they were and letting other teams score and turn the ball back to us? That doesn’t make sense. Also, you’re delusional if you think Keenum was better than Kirk 😂 Keenum had the best defense in the league that year. That made us 13-3 – not Keenum. It really is a team effort – coaches included – you’re just a Kirk hater and I see that now.
@4funds I’m not saying that Kirk will bring us a SB, and I’m not saying that if Kirk messes up then he shouldn’t be replaced (he should), but there’s no reason to. He’s been a top 10 QB for a few years now – and to blame a win/loss record on him is quite ridiculous.
@jablakeb he has been ranked between 10th and 15th every year with PFF and QB rating. That’s not my gripe. He acts like an employee but not a leader. His passing numbers have always been respectable but he just goes through the motions, instead of calling audiables or adjusting in the moment. Scripted plays work for him (1st drive of the game) but not able to control a game. Hope I’m proven wrong and he shines this year but his history isn’t promising

@SpiceSki It’s not that Mac Jones is a better QB, It’s an example that sometimes being too safe and conservative can cost you to lose and because Cousins is to afraid of throwing the ball at times that’s when you get Check down Kirky going 4 and out🙄
@Casey James Cousins “check down” was 7% on downs 1,2 and 4 and on third downs was 3.8%. Or in other words on 100 pass plays he checked down 7 times (NFL league average) and on third down on 100 passes he checked down 4 times. The narrative of “Check down Kirky” is simply false and the stats are non-debatable in that category.
@Tom Van So what’s Kirk Cousins statics on check downs against the top Defenses around the league? cause I’m already aware when everything goes according to plan against an amateur Defense Cousins can cherry pick for day’s and that’s usually how he increases his stats every year.
