His offensive play calls has easily cost the Browns four games this season.
The lack of execution has a little to do with it also.
@the fonzies LMAO 99 Huh? I have been watching sense like 1978. It has been the same M.O. sense then. But that has little to do with this past season. Yes we often do get the short end of the stick. But in all fairness. We all knew that this season was going to be a wash at the beginning of the season. There for I don’t get all the doom and gloom. Next year was the theme for this season. Next season if it doesn’t happen then it will be time for all the firings and the doom and gloom.
Was it also a lack of execution the NFL Kraft and Snyder Jerry Jones got of Scott free but DW4 beat two grand juries in Texas with his skin color the evidence against the prostitutes was astounding. Was it a lack execution the judge gave him 6 games then they gave him 11 and took his money. Mind you Texans settled they got your draft picks while the browns 6 games and it counted as a full year. YOU PLAYED 11 GAMES WITH YOUNGEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE & A BACKUP THE NFL GAVE US NO SHOT. THATS NOT LACK OF EXECUTION. WAS IT LACK OF EXECUTION WHEN #18 FROM PITTSBURGH CLEARLY FUMBLED TOOK 5 STEPS. Such a joke – blames himself for not having the team ready to compete week in and week out and is too far buried in his play sheet. He’s at best an offensive coordinator but not a head coach
At least a couple other NFL organizations learned to mic the reporters during these post-game sessions. Maybe the Browns will do that next year.
We need Stefanski to quit calling plays, he needs to hire an OC to call plays. Stefanski gets lost on the run game and becomes too fixated on the pass game. If he refuses to give up play calling then he needs to hit the road. We also need a new DC. And for the love of God, please address the LB situation this offseason.

@TheHolyRegime EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE NICK CHUBB RUN THE BALL! EVERYONE! Had Stefanski allowed Chubb to run the ball more often, maybe we’d have had a better record and a chance at the playoffs! But wait, there’s more! He hired his good buddy, Joe Woods, as defensive coordinator and the only thing Woods D coordinated were continual late game collapses! Joe Woods (who has thankfully been fired at this writing) has been fired. But too little, too late! Woods defense was horrible. IT STUNK and Woods D-unit was the very reason this team lost so many games late, AND…lost to how many 2nd and 3rd string QBs! Of course, that was after Stefanski’s’ mind bogglingly BAD play-calling wasn’t screwing things up earlier! Ooohhh…everytime I think about it I get a migraine.
I don’t even care if they bring him back. Because the next guy they hire will probably be worse. This is what happens when you have such inept morons running this franchise into the ground, year in and year out. This is what is so demoralizing, knowing there’s really no hope. Nothing. How, why, where? Unless Haslam will do us all a favor and sell this team.
At least this will be the end of the press conference replay.

Didn’t do enough to win….understatement of the century. You know what I saw, a head coach who only ran his perennial pro bowl running back 12 times in the game. Despite only giving him the ball 12 times, he STILL got you 77 yards. Imagine if you gave him the ball 20-25 times like most normal sane play-callers. Continuing to use Hunt when he just hasn’t produced at all this season and throwing the ball on first down are the primary momentum killers. This team needs a new DC and an OC who calls the plays. If Stefanski can’t step away from the play-calling, then he needs axed along with Joe Woods. What he’s doing with this offense is criminal.

I know everyone has their own take but what you said is obvious to all those who ever played competitive football or knows the game well. I don’t know why Berry doesn’t make Stefanski give up the play calling is confusing.
@the fonzies Watson got sacked 7 times and was pressured constantly. Why keep passing and only give Chubb 11 carries? Who said anything about 80 carries?
@Jim Harris I have a feeling Berry was giving Stefanski some games with Watson to see how they ran the offense together. I think after what we saw, Berry, if he’s doing his job, will step in and make some changes. I have a feeling Alex Van Pelt will be calling plays from the booth next year.

They don’t fight Kevin. They do not show the amount of effort the other team does week in and week out.
Some tasks are too big for little guys. Browns need a bigger personality in the locker room and a man humble enough to let his OC run the offense. Cousins and Diggs are better without this guy
Myles, Chubb and Watson are 27, cooper is 28. They are at the prime of their careers. No more time for Kevin to figure it out, we need to win now.
The sad thing is Stefanski can’t even be honest and continues to give credit to the opponent and at the same time say his team really fought. Unacceptable response and that is one reason this team can not get better. From the top down they accept failure and refuse to hold themselves accountable for it. We the fans also contribute to this ongoing disaster because we continue to pay for tickets and buy merchandise and as a result Haslem makes money.
Just think if Mike Tomlin were in this situation. NO WAY he doesn’t call out people and make changes. Stefanski is a waste!
Yeah…if the fans want to send a message, just don’t buy tickets, hats, jerseys, pennants…or anything else THAT PUTS MONEY INTO POCKETS OF JIMMY HASLAM! Every dime fans spend on this team is like voting for failure.
Please Make Mr. Bill Callahan The New Head Coach!!!! He is the most experienced and knowledgeable person in the current day of the NFL. He won Superbowls and the offensive line was our strongest strength which tells a lot of everything about the man… And Vanpelt Our Offensive Coordinator! He had Cincinnati doing really well and knows offense and speaks like a coach is supposed to speak! And please hire the best defensive coordinator, please! And special teams coordinator ☝️🙏🤞💯✌️ Come on Mr. Haslem! The pieces are right here in our organization besides defense and special teams coordinator
Fire him. He has proven himself to be inept. Bottom line, you have the best running back in the NFL and you ran him 12 times. Plus, for anyone saying, “their season was over”, he has done this yearly. He is obsessed with passing. That’s fine, but you have a team set up to run. The last few years he has continually been trying to put a round peg in a square hole. Fire him.
