Swept by Packers and Bears last yr. Can’t happen again or this team will “pretenders” even if they somehow make the playoffs. Shoot, even a split with each would be an improvement. But if can go 4-0 (miracle?) or 3-1 then that changes the whole psyche of playoff situation most def.
On Cook:
If no OL improvement(s), then RB situation (who’s in the “stable”) won’t matter in long term perspective (playoffs, etc). You can “blow smoke” all you want about DC, KC, and anyone else but that’ll be just “marketing” crap we get every yr from affiliated shills. Replacing Diggs #s Thielen had 418 yds, he will hit diggs numbers +
Jefferson as a rookie can easily match 418 yds= last year production

2nd offensive line was better last year, very good on run blocking, slightly better on pass protection, KEY will be improving pocket by consistently giving Kirk, an extra 0.6 sec to full second to be able to deliver the ball downfield 👍

3rd how quickly “rookie” secondary rebound to LY veteran laden coverage, and potentially surpass ( I think they will, ? How quickly, rookie mistakes?)

The new CBA really dropped the ball Negotiating a solution for these RB holdouts. Give them some type of a salary cap exemption, or subsidy, so teams can feel confident investing in their bellcows. Right now, the consensus is, paying RBs will almost serve as a detriment to your roster, regardless of how talented they are. It’s the only position that is viewed this way, and will continue to result in holdouts.

No Dalvin Cook, No running game. There is no-one on the Vikings team that can have a
break out run like Dalvin Cook. Sure both the backups can get you 4 or 6 yards here and
there, but none of them are going to get you 15 and 25 yard back breaking plays consistently
like Dalvin does.
