I’ve been a fan of the Vikings since they became a franchise and have always tried to remember that I do not have any real insight into how to own, manage, coach, or play in this league. Can we just admire what this man has done in one year to change the mindset and attitude of the team? We’re 8-1 because of our positive and winning MINDSET. The mental aspect of football, and athletics in general, is just as important as the physical aspect! KAM and KOC were great hires so far one year in!
@AngryCrow23 I don’t think so. Some problems in the locker room started later, but the guy was great early on. I think he preferred to have other guys run the offense because he was more defense minded. The difference to me is KOC relates to the guys better on a professional level, not just a athletic one.
@Purple punch 420 I agree, I keep seeing these posts where we’re all supposed to lump the coach in with the general manager, and I’m not ready to do that yet. I’m not gonna give the general manager the same credit as the coach right at this point. Kwesi more than anyone has big shoes to fill. Spielman built this team, and was responsible for bringing good free agents here too, not that Kwesi isn’t capable(TJ Hockenson) but toooooo damn early for his report card.
@Robert Kwesi’s biggest moves were signing O’Connell, undrafted rookie punter Ryan Wright and trading for Hockenson. Those moves are the only reason I wouldn’t grade him a F,
I’ll give him a C- just because the coaching hire is looking like an A+.
@Purple punch 420 the Wylf’s hired him. Nothing against Kwesi. He just needs time, along with the ownership and KOC, to put their mark on this team. These guys are pretty much Spielman and Zimmer’s guys, but they are doing a great job with them.
