@HiM He’s definitely brought a new culture to the team. I don’t think I’ve heard so many “team-first” comments from the players during interviews. Hopefully, they stay away from acquiring the toxic, diva stars that will undermine the culture.

@Garrett Kjellberg I was personally happy Zim was fired. His team quit on him. He may have demanded accountability from his players, but I didn’t hear it from him. He never took accountability for the crappy defense, which was supposed to be his strong suit. It remains to be seen how we feel at the end of the year.

@MIKERUPTION The GM picked up kirk lol,Zim knew if he kept case he would have the cap space to fill all the holes in his defense lol we only lost games by a score all tight games we never got blew out of the water with him like mon night against the eagles, and listen he proved to us he knew how to assemble the best defenses in the league,we had a superbowl caliber defense for years under Zim. I’ve been watching the vikes since the 90s,he was the best head coach we’ve ever had since I’ve been watching hands down. Watch what happens Kirk’s the problem,Zim knew kirk wasn’t a leader.

@Garrett Kjellberg Don’t get me wrong. I believe Zim is a defensive genius (definitely more so than Donatell), but being a head coach is more than scheming up the defense. It’s getting the best out of all of your players, and I just wasn’t seeing that the past year or two. It was just time for a change. I felt the same way when Dennis Green was let go. Like you said, we’ll see at the end of the season whether a players’ coach or another hard-nosed coach was the way to go. Thank you for the interesting discourse, Garrett!

I dislike fans that call a rookie a bust if he hasn’t played as a starter by week 1 of there rookie season. they want the best available players to play rn and cine is probably not 100% healthy from he knee even though he is a full participant. he’s very intellectual and been picking Harrison brain since he arrived. I would rather let a player sit 1 year to fully adjust and be good vs getting picked apart his rookie year and start doubting his ability or hear rude fans like you’re that he’s a bust

Seriously Chris – did you say the same thing about Jefferson 2 years ago? What about Darrisaw who missed his first 6 games? Ezra Cleveland didn’t start until week 8. Hunter didn’t start until about his 3rd season.
Cine will be a regular starter, either later this season, or from week 1 next year. It doesn’t matter. The coaches will start the best players right now.

@Knock it Down 100 percent. We have a good front defense, the back can be addressed (Cine hasn’t even began to play to his potential) we have the run game and the weapons. Kirk just needs to understand he’s not in Washington he’s not year 1 with the Vikings just learning what the monster diggs would become. He knows now. We have the talent and if we don’t get it done soon it may be another 30 + years before we end the drought. And I hate saying it because I love Kirk. I loved the signing money was ehhh but whatever we needed a QB. Idk I’m not a keenun would have taken us to the promise land kind of guy. Because it was a once in a year thing. Chemistry or not, the line would have BLOWN up like it did regardless of QB
