This would have never happened with Zimmer. I love KOC

    Andrew Nelson

I’ll take all the KOC I can get

    MojoRisin’

Once up by 10 Zimmer would have ordered the offense to call nothing but running plays and let GB right back in the game.

    Cucking Funt

    KOC goes hard

    Sebastian Vazquez

    🤣Lmfao

    Adam Peterson

I think you mean by 3 or more.

Florence Dahl

The defense showed more improvement KOC is the man Skol Vikings

    YumYumBeans

Let’s also not forget about Ed Donatell! He deserves as much credit as KOC for defense

Xander Johnson

I’m really liking Kevin here. Looks like a knowledgeable and just fun coach

    Arnold Janikowski

he’s the type that players want to play for, easier keeping your valued roster members on the team at end of contracts. zim was the complete opposite.

    Frank

Mike Zimmer was very knowledgeable as well. He just didn’t want to share that knowledge with anyone…like his team for example.

    Arnold Janikowski

@Frank lol true that. i wish him well but his players did quit on him a few times.

@SportTalkCenter

I could watch these for 12 hours straight. Wish KOC had more time on his hands.

Peter Donnellan

I was a fan of Zimmer, but there is literally no comparison in the tone/energy between KOC and Zimmer. I dont remember Zimmer doing this kind of analysis for the fans ever. Thanks coach!

    Frank

@Tenzin L You know, I’m not 100% sure if I like the Vikings coach doing this sort of thing. I’m sure its very rudimentary and the opponents probably don’t gain anything from it…but what if they do? I’d rather not let them inside our game plan on any level whatsoever.

    Frank

@KL4D4pso But remember, this was just one game. Let’s not start counting our chickens too soon. I think Philly will prove a better test than Stoner Rodgers and the depleted Pukers.

    KL4D4pso

@Frank Not to mention there was no tape on our starters with KOC. Philly is going to be a much bigger test vs playing at home

    Peter Donnellan

@KL4D4pso I reckon we beat Philly by 10.

    Jeff N

@Paul D. The Xs and Os with him and PA were painful to watch at times

Matt Schons

Wow, this was incredible to watch. Love the content & really think Kwesi hit a HR on his first AB hiring KOC.

John E

Great show Pete!! Coach Kevin knows he has weapons and way too many ways to use them. KOC’s enthusiastic game replays will only confuse next opponent. Great to be a Vikes fan in in 2022! Keep up the the good work!

Steve Heitkamp

Kevin taking W’s on and off the field since he started 👏

Rory S

I love KOC calling out Jaire on that BS narrative that he wasn’t on JJ at 4:21. This whole play just reeks of Jaire deflecting blame and shirking responsibility. Can always hide yourself on the stat sheet as the “closest defender” to a receiver catching it if you just bail on defending a route like that. JJ already had separation and Kirk was already stepping into his throwing motion when Jaire decided to uselessly double up on Thielen. Whether or not it was zone or man (which the defender on Thielen clearly thought it was man), it shows he has no awareness to adjust (or he’s just scared).

I love these Film Rooms with Kevin! I wish they would have shown some special teams play, too. I love the one where Reagor shook off a tackler and got a few extra yards on a punt return. Not only does every yard count, but plays like that help push or keep the momentum in your favor.

Vikings were excellent in controlling the momentum Sunday. Successful goal line stances are huge momentum shifters, so is scoring on your first possession of the game. Hitting wide open receivers helps with momentum. Letting the opponent march down the field hitting underneath stuff to score a touchdown undermines your momentum, but it’s a slow roll. Luckily, the Vikings were able to absorb it and keep their momentum rolling. Let’s keep it rolling all season long. SKOL!

    Mike And Tracey Gowdy

not to mention, how many times we seemed to get good pressure on their punter with near blocks?

    MIKERUPTION

@Mike And Tracey Gowdy You’re right! They were getting after it! They’re going to get some blocks this year. I just know it.

    Rob E

Can’t wait to see Reagor running some of those “blazer” routes – he is 2 or 3 steps faster than everyone on our offence (only 1 over Kene & Ty). He will really open up those routes and I think he’ll “come alive” a lot too when he beats the coverage. I’m expecting to see a bit of him on routes like that on Monday, and take KJs jWR3 role before the bye.

    MIKERUPTION

@Rob E That’s exciting! I hope they work him into the lineup. He’s got a little extra incentive to do well since this is his former team.

Robert Stack

An absolute joy listening to Koc break down some of these plays, I’m definitely cautiously optimistic but you can start the year much better than beating your division rival

    munch2311

Same! Years of crushing upsets but something does feel a little different! Cheers!

ZackMTV

I love Kevin he’s such a great Coach and a great guy! I had really high hopes and he’s exceeded them so far I’m very impressed with how this team is right off the bat. Also KOC got jokes dude is funny

Lucas G

I love how Kevin points out that jaire was covering Justin on that 36 yard touchdown🤣🤣

    Misha Vorostsev

Damn right🤣 say it louder for the pac fans in the back

    Lucas G

@Misha Vorostsev fr. I also saw another video of Jefferson sending jaire into oblivion

    Drew

All I am saying is the packer should be scared when we meet again they don’t have any answers to stop JJ amd if they have that many bodies on him Thielen will definitely get his

    O Truth

    Exactly my thoughts!

less than bread

I’ve been really excited to hear KOC breakdown what this offense is all about. This guy knows how to pick apart a defense and stretch them all across the field.

Minne Alan

Really cool to hear the HC breaking down plays… feels like the Vikings arriving in modern times finally 🙂

Andrew's Pops

This film break down got me so pumped. If you love football, this kind of stuff is gold. And man, I think the Vikings have a special football mind and leader of men in the building

    KP inthatYota

    Football genius

Spartan265

I’m a Niner fan and oddly enough Green Bay is my #2 team. With that said I do love the Vikings media. The team interviews with funny questions and stuff are great. And stuff like this is really cool as well. I feel like it helps to connects fans with the team on an even deeper level. Not to mention the willingness of the players and head coach to do stuff like this shows they care a lot about the team and fans. Keep it up Vikings.

Dylan Roberts

Keep these coming it’s so refreshing to see a coach like KOC. Zimmer would’ve never done this

William Baker

I’m a Chiefs fan but this is really awesome content that every football fan can enjoy. Getting an insight into a coach’s mind and thought process is so rare and so cool

Let me sleep in peace

I love how there is an emphasis on team work and everybody doing their job, not just acknowledging the star players here. Great mentality and leadership!
