@Ian McCaffrey you realize we were nearly paying 30 mil just between Gabe and Trent, right? Trent was rarely on the field and was a cancer in the locker room. He had to go and it would’ve been stupid to keep him. Gabe practically lost his job to Denzel Good and is fractions of the price he costs. You claim that our rungame isn’t much of a need, and you’re right but there is absolutely nothing wrong with bettering it. Kenyan will split the workload with Jacobs ensuring he stays fresh and his chances of injury drops (he’s had injuries since we drafted him). Take a look at the Browns. They have two starting caliber RBs and have the best rungame in the league because of it. We’re potentially right behind them now.
You’re also right about secondary being our biggest need right now, but the market is finally starting to die down and there’s still an awfully good amount of free agents still available. Why would we overpay on somebody? We’ve done that last year and for the most part, it didn’t work out. We’re playing it smart.
And Andre James just signed a 3 year extension. Looks like the team.coming together
We need to go out and sign Sherman, a solid safety and draft best DB available. Second round go offensive line, then from there on out go best player on the board.
