Kenny Washington Celebrated On 75th Anniversary Of Signing With Rams | Inspire Change

Former Rams RB Kenny Washington was celebrated at Lincoln High School's Kenny Washington Memorial Game on the 75th anniversary of his historic signing with the Rams. In 1946, the Los Angeles Rams & Kenny Washington broke the color barrier in the NFL when he became one of the first black players to be signed by an NFL team in the modern era.

Y’all have to do one for
Leon Allen White a.k.a Big Van Vader. Played two seasons for the Rams after an injury made him retire. Then later became one of WWE’s greatest wrestling legends! He’s also a local from Lynnwood CA. Bad MUDAPHUCKA

Yooo! How did I miss this?! I’ve been inspired by Kenny ever since I first heard of him many years ago. I wish just once, that the NFL would honor that Era when Kenny first entered the league with corresponding uni’s… or at the very least by releasing a commemorative black and red long sleeve (or the blue and gold) jersey baring his number. I’d buy that in a heartbeat! All Due Love, Honor and Respect To My Beloved Team and To The Washington Family… Kenny, thank you for paving the way for POC in sports! You and Jackie Robinson are Icons in your respective sports and should be celebrated as such! Bless…

I loved watching Kenny growing up back in 1749!
