I’m a little disappointed that Rudolph gets 2nd Team reps. We all know he’s not a franchise QB. I have nothing with him competing but he should absolutely ball out to get up the depth chart. We already saw mediocre to bad stuff plenty enough, no reason to let the #1 pick get 3rd tier reps. Hope this changes quickly.

    No need to rush Kenny into anything. Steelers were the only team to have a 1st round grade on him. Even with no Mitch, I’d rather Mason start and let the rookie develop. Right now, Mason is a better pro QB. That doesn’t mean Kenny won’t be better eventually, but not right now as we speak. Let him learn the game. If Mitch goes down, we will need Mason.

    @POP345 Ben didn’t even earn his job rookie season he was QB3 as well but Charlie Batch (QB2) went down and later Maddox (QB1) which meant Ben had to start before actually “earning” the QB1 spot on the depth chart.

    Hopefully Rudolph isn’t even a Steeler when the season starts.

    I think they it do it that way partly because you don’t want to see your rookies take a step backwards later. If you start Kenny at #1 or #2 on the depth chart and then have to move him back later, it looks bad. If you start him at #3 and let him work his way up, then it just looks like he’s working to earn his spot.

I think they will take a “wait and see” approach the first few games and see how Mitch does and if doesn’t have a firm grip on the offense,in goes Kenny,it’s a win-win situation with 2 capable qb’s

    @Drew Wilson The Deflatriots aren’t a good team who allowed the first perfect offensive game in NFL History getting routed by the Bills in the playoffs 47-17, and the Browns are well, the Browns. But the Bengals are definitely gonna be tough.

    When Mitch Trubisky was scanning deep down field, looking for a big play during the team’s first practice of minicamp on Tuesday, it wasn’t surprising that he looked to Pickens to make a big-time play. Trubisky found Pickens open in the secondary and the rookie hauled in a 70 yard touchdown. The play wasn’t even drawn up to be thrown that way. Instead, Pickens just beat his man so badly that Trubisky could not help but air it out down the field to him.

    @KR S negative my friend, I just have realistic expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I would love it if Kenny turns out to be the next big thing. Very rare you go from one franchise QB to another. The Colts might’ve been the last team to do that with Manning & Luck. I hope I’m proven wrong. But I don’t think we have Andrew Luck in our hands. At best, we have 2 Mitch Truvisky’s lol.

Doc Mitchell we seen that duck was a better QB than mason and had more heart but was only 6ft and never drafted mason throws a pretty ball but has no heart and poor command with the guys I don’t know anyone who truly watches film on him say wow this dude is it ya he got the size and of course his progression s are better he is been doing this for 5 yrs also Kenny has it the immeasurable factor mason dont

I’m certainly no Steelers fan — I root for Buffalo in the AFC — but I am a big Kenny fan. I think he’s going to be terrific. He just has “it,” whatever “it” is. But he has a quicker-than-average release, underrated arm, great ability to throw outside the pocket, and a smoking-hot fiancé. OK, the last part, while being true, isn’t really important. (I guess she’s a soccer player for some Ivy League school so she’s good at sports too. If they have kids there might be a young boy born soon that might start for the Steelers by, oh, 2045.)
