Ken Dorsey: “Make Sure We’re Learning From These Experiences” | Buffalo Bills

Bills Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey addresses the media on Monday November 14th. Topics include: Why the team chose to utilize the Running Backs in various ways during the matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, what he’s seen from Quarterback Josh Allen and his decision making, why he wants the Bills offense to stay true to themselves, and how he thinks the team responding to adversity at this point in the season could help the team down the road.

Let’s spread the ball out more and take some of the pressure off 17, please.

Stefano soderi

Make no mistake about it! Ken Dorsey is getting tested also remember this is a first time play caller we knew there might be hiccups but still Josh isn’t the same guy he was 4 weeks ago

    Stefano soderi

Also it’s very possible to think that Allen has taken some good shots this yr and there starting to take a toll!! He needs to slide or get the hell out of bounds , he should know this by now! Damnit without Josh this season is done!!

    Rez Born

So what are you saying, “sorry guys not gonna happen this year. We have a 1st year OC whi is still learning!”

    Stefano soderi

@Rez Born I’m saying there’s a learning curve, there’s going to be hiccups , and that’s exactly where we are! That’s all

Jason Mcdaniel

You know what helps a struggling quarterback? A Run Game RUN THE DAMN BALL.

    kidwave1

BALANCE THE ATTACK YOU DOPES! The ENTIRE FOOTBALL UNIVERSE has been saying “Buffalo doesnt have a running game” FOR 5 YEARS NOW!
Run the new guy, Singletary BLOWS!

    Ruben Abastillas

Thats what iam saying….damn RUN the Ball use the RB….the dfnce al ready know what to do if josh allen run and throw…his forcing it..instead of throwing out..common Dorsey 3 straight games same old play..

    Chase Perring

Just shows that the management on this team puts to much on Josh… they could have had ,,, CMC, Hunt, Jacobs, Kamara and we trade for Hines and then dont use him, Motor is trash, and its time to put feelings aside esp when it comes to motor, hes not the guy, can he be a nice change of pace, 3rd down kinda back YES, as a RB1 not even close, there is no team in this NFL that would use Motor as a lead back…

    Adonis Coleman

It’s not that dam simple stop acting like your a dam nfl coach they’ll get it figured out eventually, 💯 stfu

    x Floptic

@Chase Perring The Bills playbook has got to be a very hard one to learn I’ve heard that from multiple players, getting one of those players mean we have to lose a lot of draft capital and free up cap space while also potentially losing the ability to pay our current players due to the players you named contracts. Hines is a great player but it may be a couple more games to find where they can play him the best. Singletary isn’t trash, if you have multiple running backs who struggle running the ball that is a sign you have a bad run blocking line. No team would use him because we are using him. If we didn’t think he was capable he would’ve been traded or we would’ve went out and got one of the players you mentioned. Singletary will be an amazing rb if our line fixed their run blocking. Imagine if teams had to worry about the run too? We wouldn’t lose. But there is always at least one or two defenders that completely beat our linemen within the line of scrimmage.

ArkOmen1

Have to make Josh sit out a few plays when he makes these mistakes. Sit out a few plays or even a series when he makes these kinds of blunders

    obama420

He does sit out for a few plays, when his defence is on the field!

William Dansereau

Bad play calling at end of game, are you kidding me. We should of taken a safety then punt ball away with 30 second left. Come on . 🤬

    xFrozenxPhoenix

a safety and a punt most likely gives them the ball near mid field with 30+ seconds left, down by 2 points. Allen gets 2-5 yards 99/100 times on a sneak. Sneak every time.

    P Clips

Allen is the only player who has fumbled the sneak twice on the 1 yard line in the past 10 years

Tim Franczyk

Depending on outcomes, these guys are either praised as geniuses or derided as buffoons.

Largemouth Hunter

In .02 seconds we fumble , Vikes get through 2000 lbs of linemen and fall on ball for TD. 100% embarrassing and at home no less SMDH 🤔

David Collins

Did he say balanced the 2nd half..? I guess that means we still won’t run the damn ball even when we are up! Terrible

Alpha ROB

They not spreading the ball around maybe allen doesn’t have confidence in anyone else besides Diggs Davis and McKenzie been dropping balls all year get Knox involved more run the ball more and tell allen to pay attention to other defenders cuz his int are going right to them like he doesn’t see them

Michael M

There is literally no excuses for that fumble. We could have in the worse case scenario run around the end zone for a safety and still won! It’s BS all the other gibberish!

Stephen Printup

The second half failures I bet is a failure to adjust. Plans are great, but we’re getting figured out.

Nick G

Maybe try to be less predictable in the run. More quick 5-10 yard passes I’m no coordinator but Peterson said he knew what was coming.
Go BILLSSSSSSS

Chris Beckham Music

Use more motion with McKenzie and have him do jet sweeps; we always seem to get yards on those plays.

    Daniel Ventura

They would take adjustment Chris this coaching staff doesn’t have that ability lmao 😂

Jesus

Let’s get Josh Allen to clean up those Turnovers and get back to Bills Pre-Packers game Football!

bryan day

5 receivers spread the line out, Shotgun formation run for a half yard game over. I never coached but I slept at a holiday last night.

apb1969

TAKE ALL FIELD GOAL OPPS – We would have won before having to do any overtime had you taken the first field goal opp instead of throwing into the end zone for an interception.

    Sharon Orcutt

    Totally agree. 100% right!!!!

Timothy Storrs

Need to start showing up in the second half. First half we seem to execute actual plays. Second half it seems the plays fall apart and we are scrambling to save every down. And maybe run the ball once in a while. Thought we just acquired someone for that!

Colville Outfitters

We are getting figured out and the other team is making adjustments to the first half….we never make adjustments to their adjustments. Instead of going out with same game plan we need to completely change the looks.

Bryan

Dorsey is a good coach. But it seems he is having difficulty makes the quick adjustments to what the defenses are doing during each new drive. I would almost think he pre-plans his drives. Offense needs to be fluid to what the defenses are doing. Dorsey seems a little rigid in his play calling.

Paul Rath

Bills have two good TE’s. Seems they only use Knox as slot receiver who gets a couple targets a game, and as blocker. Why aren’t they ever used in short-yardage situations??
