I don’t think that’s the issue lol. The issue was that they couldn’t run the ball at the end of last year to get into the playbook and keep defenses off rhythm. When they ran the ball well at beginning there was no “playbook” issue. The NFL is hard when can’t stay on schedule as an offense. Penalties and lack of run game cause widespread issues not to mention play makers staying healthier.

He doesn’t need to expand anything. He does need to modify his playbook to help these kids out. He does need to get some type of running system going to get some holes open in the running attack.

@ER5 one of the reasons we couldn’t get a run game going was because he c as called the same 2 run plays up the middle almost everytime for little to no gain. Its predictable and ineffective.

@Dan The Man The Cowboy’s offence always piles up a ton of yards and points when facing overmatched depleted opponents which skews their overall efficiency. When they face decent defences they struggle and look, pedestrian. That’s when Moore’s lack of creativity gets exposed.

Exactly. But Pollard has not changed. His stats were screaming for him to be used last year when the runs were being stuffed mainly because of predictability. Zeke was running to the same spot over and over and the defense didn’t have to think much. The issue with Kellen is not “creativity” it’s variability. He keeps doing the same thing over and over hoping something different happens. It’s also gets blamed on Dak but this offense that really came from Jason gets very predictable very quickly. Pollard could have at least given us a score in the 1st or 3rd quarter of the Niner playoff game where we scored zero. Remember Dak was coverage-sacked on the first series so the Niners were ready for typical Kellen plays. Matt Eberflus said in 2018 that Kellen has repetitive pass combos that are easy to detect.
