Watched the game and it was crazy let’s go cheifs
Justin Reid, really good addition to the Chiefs. It’s great to have two players in one.
Despite Jan Stenerud being one of my first football heroes (You don’t have to be the biggest kid to be the best kicker) and Kansas City INVENTING the place-kicker specialist (Stenerud), I’m not sure I wouldn’t rather have 2 more spots (3 if you count long-snapper!) on regular offense and defense. Kansas City proved you could win it all by scoring FGs from farther out at a higher percentage.
But now that it’s a tradition no one questions, I just have to question it. KC went through a long stretch of anemic offense in the ’90s, where they had us holding our breaths for last-second 50-yard-FG attempts. I want the game decided in favor of the team that scores more touchdowns. The older I get, the more FG tries seem like a dice-rolling intermission that decides a football game. It just feels like it’s not football. I’d rather have a little better offensive and defensive depth than give up 3 roster spots for LS, PK, and P. Got 53 athletes to draw from. Pay ’em a big, fat bonus for scoring FGs and even per-play bonuses based on field position given up, depth and hang-time.
LOL! Probably half the team down with quad injuries by Week 3!

This is exactly why the chiefs are so deadly. All good players want to join them because they know they will most likely have a high chance of getting a ring, vreach and Reid know how to draft, and the team itself has great chemistry. Hard to beat a team that has a lot of talent, chemistry, and momentum on top of players wanting to join them
