The defense has been a liability all year. If they could actually get stops chargers have a winning record.
As a Rivers-era chargers fan, i can confidently state, “we deserve Herbert’s throwing motion.”
To be fair, Rivers had a faster throw motion. It just isn’t as fast when he throws them long. One thing though, Herbert definitely, 100%, has a better arm than Rivers had. Time will tell if he will be as accurate as Rivers though. Hopefully.
@Sam W. Rivers problem was he threw the ball side arm negating a lot of his height advantage and he super non mobile in the pocket.

Why is it so hard to see the pattern? When we stop throwing screens to ok running backs and take advantage of mike Williams, Hunter Henery, and Keenen Allan, we win.
The line is not that good. Throwing screens helps keep the defensive pass-rush honest and gives Herbie more time to throw. How many screen plays should they actually be calling in a game? That’s certainly up for debate.
@casperov I understand that we need some screens but Kalen ballage is the not the right guy to be catching them. However, Austin ekeler is, so I will not be mad if we continue throwing these screen passes with him
The coaching staff is so dead set on establishing a run that averages 2 yards a carry….
I love how he’s learning to throw with some touch when he has to. First couple games was straight bullets all day.
