It’s harder to repeat seasons like this when teams get a years worth of film. I think statistically he’ll have a pretty similar year and the following year is when he’ll take his big step forward.

And i actually think Staley was a great hire for the Chargers bc he really has been through so much , with his family and csncer and how he batyled for , quite literally , his life ! He has that young , hungry energy that Herbert has as well ! And i think he surrounded himself with a strong knowledgeable staff , which will only helo Herbert grow into the QB he’s DESTINED to be !!!

@Sam W. bulaga would take too much of a dead cap hit. Tevi can go too. We got too many picks to not address this in the draft and free agency. We got some good opportunities to let a few people go with barely any penalty. We should approach that

Justin herbert , young man you won’t see this so I should say he instead of you but you are the truth and you are a hard-working young man keep it up and you will have one helluva career …a healthy talented o-line and a healthy Derwin and defensive cast and we are rolling strong and super bowl talks with hard work aren’t far fetched
As a native San Diegan and Charger fan since I was a kid back in the 60s it is the best feeling knowing that our QB not only won a prestigious award but is such a good person!! Our last QB from U of Oregon was a pretty good one and this kid has all the attributes and intangibles to do as well or better than any of our great QBs. Go Bolts!!

Your right, hess good kid. His teammates recognize that, and he’s a good leader already at 22 years of age, his IQ is very high. Work ethic is great. Those attributes are as important as his physical ability, Charger fans a Super Bowl is in your future

I really think what people love about Herbert is hes totally a down to earth very nice person! He came back to Oregon to finish with his class! He always talks about helping his team! He just wants to be part of the guys! Wants a simple life! Way he carries himself off the field hes a true role model for kids! Listen to some of these posts from fans of even other teams and even they fall in love with this wonderful man! With River, Brees and soon Brady hanging it up you can just feel it Herbert has the It factor hes gonna be one of these long term franchise QBS will be talking about for years!

@Bill Smith i agree with that 100%. Tua was a really high draft prospect but if you think about it when he was in bama he had probably the best reciving cor in college football and a insane oline. Then mac jones walks in and takes them to a championship 🤣. I feel like bama made him look better then he is. Could be my opinion.

I have seen alot of people say herbert was alright not even a top 10 qb. But bro herbert balled out and had the best rookie QB year.
