I’m not trying to be negative but unless Lombardi resigns or gets fired . This offense is gonna be held back by him. The interception on 3rd down was literally because of Lombardi. Calling “stick “ is predictable. We need to get him out of here or Herbert or Staley needs to step up and say this isn’t working. It’s simply not getting through to him.
Now we just need our offense to pick it up. Joe Lombardi is holding this team back.
I respect joe for what he’s been working with, I think the reason for all the check downs and short throws is because of our o line, Herbert doesn’t have much time, but we’re tarting to get healthy again and it’s time to start attacking deep!

You guys are forgetting colts Defense is top 10. They kept Vikings in check 33-0 until the fourth quarter!! I’m glad our running game is back!!
It’s good that Staley and Herbert acknowledge that their offense is not good enough. Sometimes winning ugly is what the team needs to experience to fix those things just in time for the playoffs. You need to be uncomfortable and unsatisfied to get to where you want to be.

Guys, the NFL instituted the defenseless receiver rules because we were running out of receivers. Guys like Bouldin and Crabtree were taking season-ending and career-ending hits. The rules protecting them are good rules, and Derwin’s hit was a violation. It happens, get over it.

Our only problem is pass blocking by the O line. Too many pressures and sacks are not giving Justin the time to stretch the field. With Hutton out it takes just a bit longer for our deep patterns to open up and Justin either doesn’t have time and passes underneath, gets sacked, has to rollout or someone is caught holding. Once the line starts blocking better the offence will come around just as the defence is.

Absolutely, many routes take time, Herbert does not have it. He has been sacked much to often. The hold on the Parham reception down to the 25, took points off the board for sure.
It’s been like that since Rashawn Slater went down for the year.

Don’t forget the 31st yards per rush and rush yards per game. He has zero run game. A horrible rush defense. A sketchy O line. Missing his best receivers for the majority of the year and he had to deal with rib injuries and suspect playcalling. Herb is the truth.
Been a fan of this guy since his Duck days, the nfl is even better when their star players like Herbert make the playoffs.
Honestly it’s good we make the playoffs, but our offense won’t be able to keep up with KC, Buffalo or Cincinnati unless we open it up.
Dude, we basically clinched our playoff spot BEFORE we played the colts. We did that with them, the Rams and the Broncos remaining on their schedule. After all of the injuries I gotta say that’s pretty damn impressive given all of the injuries and holes in our play-calling. Congrats guys
