I wish Rivers had that mentality ” If I throw it for 50 yards, and we win that’s the goal ” I’ve been waiting to hear that my whole life. When you draft a QB make sure they are not a baby factory dropping loads every season for a paycheck.
He absolutely had that mentality. He loved handing it to LT early on and checked into runs all the time. Rivers was given too much to do in the back half of his career. That is just factual. Any elite QB would have been proud to do the same he did under those circumstances.
Canadian Raiders fan here for 52 years, if the Raiders lose, I want Justin to take your team all the way. Nothing I would love more is for him to destroy Kanas City. I have so much respect for Justin, I hope the Raiders make the playoffs before their game kicks off Sunday night. Las Vegas would clinch a wild-card spot if the Indianapolis Colts lose and if the Pittsburgh Steelers lose as well.

The chargers have the highest ceiling of any team, Justin Herbert, Joey bosa, derwin James, Austin ekler, mike Williams, keenan Allen, jalen guyton, Jared cook, Andre roberts, Brandon Staley, joe lombardi this team is a super bowl team when its healthy
@savajo ty long still needs to go, new kick returner, new OC, better rush defense, just so much stuff needs to change. I think all of the weapons on offense are good, maybe a faster, younger receiver.

Chargers have a bright future
Justin Herbert is simply not going to let down his first-year coach and deny Brandon a playoff trip in his first season, by doing silly things like, up and losing. Staley knows when to go for the throat. That’s what I love about Coach Staley. Staley knows when to go for the throat, in situational football. And by staying ahead of chains, as the Chargers offensive can do with some consistency, they can dictate, rather than taking what the defense, gives them. It’s still patient, but aggressive strategy.
Herbert beat the Raiders as a rookie and he’s beaten them again this season. If the Chargers tackle well in the 1st half, game is over in the first half, as Justin Herbert leads all QBs all-time in 4th quarter points. Not Unitas, not Montana, not Brady, not Rodgers, but Justin Herbert. Did I mention Austin Ekeler is producing on-par with Saints RB Alvin Kamara in yards and TDs?
