@EC 501 They might both have a different coach this year but Pederson is far from “new” in this league – he has a pedigree as a player and a head coach that Eberflus couldn’t sniff. If anything, this proves how important the right coaching tree is for a young player’s development. Steve Young was a dumpster fire before SF.

@Alex H Lol like you would know what a student of the game looks like. Calling protections doesn’t guarantee anything and it surely doesn’t overcome lack of talent. You do know the defense can show one look pre-snap and a different look once the ball is snapped don’t you? Classic Monday morning couch potato lol!!!

Every year expectations are low and they seem to surpass that.
The only consistent thing right now is Getsy and Eberflus horrible play calling and game management. Can’t get better if the coaching doesn’t either.
Justin has been sacked 16 times in 4 games 2nd since the 1970 merger and trailing only Jay Culter per Courtney Cronin
He should try to throw the ball ON TIME.
I wish they stop asking questions about where he was trying to go to on plays an how it was designed an who it was designed to go to! Definitely helping out other defenses by asking those questions
The fumble disappointed me because all the Bears players were just standing around not reacting or going for the ball, that was the kind of thing I expected from a Trestman coached team but I’m really surprised everyone would make such a careless mistake now since Eberflus seems like the kind of guy who doesn’t tolerate lack of effort or awareness.
Yea same here but I did understand. Cuz it did look like it moved forward in real time but when you slow it down you can see it was a fumble. They should’ve jumped on ball regardless

I just don’t understand what Getsy is trying to do. He changes personnel and formations constantly just like Matt Nagy did. Running out of the shotgun again and again even on the goal line. I just don’t get it. Daboll knew EXACTLY how to get Danny Dimes rolling on the outside but Getsy just seems like he is in way over his head.

He needs to relax and just play his game while having fun. Sometimes players think to much and forget how to have fun. Just look at Rodgers and Mahomes. PLAY YOUR GAME FIELDS. Put a smile on and rip it up man, GO BEARS!!!
It’s based on the play calls, if Justin throws a 50yd bomb, we need to do it more than once, our defense sucks plus receivers can’t catch either, keep your head up Justin
Our run defense has been so soft. Still missing tackles left and right. I have all trust in our coaching staff. But the talent defensively and offensively is lacking.
Consistency implies that there were peaks that just need to be maintained. Fields and his offense has shown NOTHING. NINETY SEVEN PASSING YARDS A GAME. Embarrassing.

This week,we can’t complain about Justin…Let’s keep in mind we have very poor receivers,coupled with a poor pass blocking O line…If you don’t hit these receivers on the “numbers”,they won’t catch it(poor catch radius, they are all narrow and lack physicality)…I HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR HIM,HOW HE STAYED IN THE GAME AFTER HIS ANKLE WAS ROLLED OVER !
Fields desperately needs a stronger offensive line to protect him, a much more talented receiving group as well as dependable tight ends and a coaching staff that actually trusts him, but can also show him the way. He’s looking more fragile right now and it reminds me of Trubisky when he was losing games.
Baby steps taken today Justin… be patient… and keep grinding… very proud overall of your individual performance today… yes there are thing to improve (and there will be for QUITE some time), but there were also positive moments… use those to fuel your fire! 🐻🔽
