So true. Without the penalties, we win this game. So discouraging. Hard to accept a loss when the other team on the field didn’t beat you , but you lost a game because you gave the game away. Which is exactly what happened. We gave away a win because of all the penalties.

Better than Sid Luckman ? A man who won 4 championships and an MVP ? Also wouldve won 7 or 8 ships too if he wasnt busy killing Krauts in WW2 in the prime of his career.

I agree, I just wish the bar was not so low. That said, he has the potential and the trajectory to be a better QB than a lot of teams have seen in their history. Two things that are distinctive about him. His even keel and his determination to get better and never complacent.

@RedEye Sid Luckman? Really? Yes, if Sid Luckman were around today with his skillset he would have been lucky to make the practice squad.

@Hugh Sweer The first time he spoke officially at the organization you could see he was different and ready for the moment. I can’t say at that point I knew he was a lock to be excellent, which he has a chance to be. I can say him talking to the media was completely different then Mitch. When Mitch spoke to the media it always had the feel, like a kid talking to the principal type energy. From day one Justin when he speaks to the media it has the feel as if his parents just donated a million dollars to the high school but he’s going to be respectful. That quite confidence is undeniable and yes as you mentioned, looks like he had nerves of steel too!

That’s what I said after last week’s game. That he looked like how he played at Ohio state. Lethal. Once he’s figured this offense out and once he gets real line protection we will see Ohio state Justin fields every week. I still say he and Trevor Lawrence will end up eventually with the best pro career then all the other QBs drafted last yr. Trevor and Justin are trully gifted QBs.

@professional Matt Rhule hater as is expected from a rookie qb but without a doubt he’s been the best rookie qb these past two weeks. My opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Ga Coach Trainer I don’t think pace should be fired I believe he’s starting to become a better gm remember he was a rookie when he started and his drafting in the earlier rounds are getting better and he’s always finding hidden gems

Feels fucking amazing not having to worry about the QB position we got our guy the head coach and the o line is what keeps me up at night now

Imagine what he will do once we get a good oline. We can actually have a good offense finally.

hilarious against the 49ers it was “is it a coincidence he has his best game with Nagy gone?” then he has his best game the following week with Nagy back and now it’s crickets on that narrative 😭 career high in passing

The offense is going to look bad again after a week off. You want to play immediately the next week once you figured something out so you don’t forget it. I want look for us doing to much against the Ravens. It won’t be till the game after that one where we’ll see the offense look like it did in the second half against the Steelers. Sucks but that’s what it is to be a bears fan. The football gods never cut us a break. I’m writing all this yr off knowing fields will be a probowler next yr. With a full off-season off to really learn tho offence and be able to open up the entire playbook.

The bye couldn’t come at a better time, we need some guys to heal up and hopefully we’ll be full strength for the Ravens after the bye with an extra week of practice I really hope the playbook gets opened up some more as the season winds down and the Bears start preparing for the offseason and get ready for scouting and the draft to start looking for players to build around Justin Fields for next season………also depending on if a new head coach is brought in to replace Nagy (which I hope the Bears front office do because Fields needs a fresh start with a head coach who knows what the hell they’re doing and will design a playbook that goes with Fields play style etc…) to help him succeed and make our offense better.

@Akumaa2000 imagine if they announce tarik cohen, tevin jenkins, khalil mack and eddie jackson will be back after our by week lol
