Fields is showing flashes and CHI fans just have to continue to be patient. You never know what you have under center.
This was more than flashes. He straight up showed greatness for a whole game.
It’s no longer flashes you have seen the future the last three games and he’s only going to get better. Just think about when the Bears start to put players around him how dangerous he’s gonna be he’s a lethal thrower.
Imagine what Fields can do in the passing game with better receivers
@Seth Howard Seems hard for you to grasp he can’t just throw the ball just because. The receiver has to be open. You ever consider the defense isn’t worried about the receivers ability to separate thus making blitzing more likely? Yeah maybe his inaccuracy when pressured also plays into it. Imagine playing that style of defense with good receivers though, it would be a very risky style.
@RichardSimmonsForPresident That was my only gripe about him. He needs to not take so many unnecessary sacks. Imagine if he can figure it out and have the scrambling ability at same time. Potential to be another Josh Allen type QB.

If your qb cannot read the defenses and throw accurate passes under pressure, he’s a liability!!! Dude has more interceptions than touchdowns with 11 fumbles! Just 1k passing yards. Lowest in the league and played every game! He’s 30th in completion rankings. Players aren’t dropping every pass ! Bears are ranked 25th ! Only 7 dropped passes! Lol do your research before commenting

He won the game. Fields made history so if there was ever a time for you to make history, it’s now. Change the bears official record to 4-5 because dolphins didn’t beat them, suspect officiating did.

Watching both Lawrence and Fields this year, they are getting better each snap. They both have their strengths. Just like any job, each job that have its own nuances that’s not in the book. Just get better each time you’re in that situation. I love Fields watched him in high school, he looked like he was going to be a star but Lawrence, what shock me, seeing a player that big that maneuvers like a much smaller guy. I feel if they keep improving, both guys will have their teams winning their division if not next year, the year after. Not saying one is better, doing it different is ok.

Because his coaches were trying to force him into their system. Now they’re calling plays to his strengths. If they get a line and some receivers watch out
@Brian Crawford they were not trying to force him into anything, new systems are always awkward to start out. It took them less than half a year to get Fields humming – they deserve credit for that

The most underrated and key thing about all of this is ….he slides! Doesn’t take the unnecessary hits yet still makes the runs.

He’s generally been very good this year at avoiding unnecessary hits. His sliding has been effective. He’s been getting out of bounds well. And he’s no longer trying to run people over.
Even a baseball slide is risky if someone comes in late. He did a quick kneel on a couple of those runs. seems much cleaner
He’s probably watched a lot of tape on Russell Wilson. He does it better than any mobile QB ever has, which is why his career hasn’t been cut short by injuries like RG3 and Newton have.

He played smart. Despite how many times he ran, he really didn’t take that many hard hits this game. That tells me this style of play is sustainable for Fields.
