Fireman, police, military, oil rig workers put their lives on the line. NFL players are way down the list risking their lives. This unfortunately happens in most all contact sports. If a NFL player needs psychological counseling, I would think they aren’t cut out for the NFL. I would be worried about that player if he was on my team.
no one said it’s the riskiest or most dangerous job in the world, and they know they’re putting their lives on the line going out on the field. but they, like all of us, watched someone die on a football field. it is completely normal for them or anyone who witnessed or was a part of it to need psychological counseling, and thankfully coaches and teams realize this and don’t share your extremely bizarre perspective. like so many, in your pursuit of appearing macho and tough, you have lost your humanity.
