Jordan Love 1-on-1: ‘A Lot of Hard Work’ Led to First-Round Selection – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

In Gute I Trust 🧀🧀🧀

Doc Tar

He certainly talks like a Packer player, “hard work,” “keep preparing” and “chance to grow.”

    jesusoftheapes

yeah they had time to give him this script before he spoke . He is fully in now . The Packers have to do some major damage control with this pick . The only way Gute saves his job after this pick is to take another QB late in this draft who turns out because Love will not .

welcome

We need another quarterback for when Aaron Rodgers retires.

I hope this pick pans out for us…..

aaron berhane

I was mad at this pick at first but seeing everyone bash him made me feel bad hope he proves all us Packers fans wrong

    eric sigersmith

Atleast its 5 years they can sit on him and believe me I would rather have teciever

Go pack go 2020

I’m thinking when Rodger contract comes to an end him and Danica are going to pack up and head for the West coast where he is from

Michael

I can appreciate the forward thinking. Still though, after being thoroughly outperformed by the niners (twice) last year and with a likely juggernaut forming in Tampa; I can’t believe this was the right move. Keeping pace should have been the priority. Even acknowledging the potential for the remaining picks, it’s still more likely you hit on bona fide talent in the first round. Something the packers could have really used in a few spots on their roster.

    soylentdean

Jordy Nelson, Gregg Jennings, Davante Adams, all second round picks and bona fide talents. Don’t worry, the draft ain’t over.

Dassiswas

I love it.

So everyone wants to keep up with the Jones (49ers). We have an out on Rodgers contract in 2 years. We need to become special at something and in Green Bay this is a pick that can be a continuation of being special moving forward at the most important position.

Eric S

Im shocked, but they need to work on the trenches and or wide receiver

Rick Morrow

Packers should try and trade Jordan Love immediately and hope to get a future draft pick?

Fernando Marin

Were trying to win a superbowl right? How does a qb in the 1st round help with that?!

Misha Gelenava

Nothing against the boy. He doesn’t deserve to be bashed. But I don’t understand the front office’s move. It’s not that they drafted a QB, it’s that they used first round pick(with trade up). First of all Aaron is not that close to the end, Brett was flirting with retirement back then and they smartly drafted the replacement, Aaron has 4 year contract and he said that he wants to play as long as Brady and Brees. Secondly, if you think that Aaron’s time is coming to end, you should try to win one more with him and for once draft a weapon for him in the first round. It sounds like this front office is saying that they don’t believe in Aaron’s ability to lead this team to SB anymore.

    soylentdean

Why does everyone think the Pack can’t get a quality WR in the 2nd round when they have a long history of doing just that?

    Misha Gelenava

@soylentdean they could, but they had a better chance in first round. Other positions need to be addressed too, drafting up and losing fourth round pick is not ideal either.

This is the future boys. History being made! 3peat HoF QB’s.

I was there or Favre to Rodgers and there were the diehard Favre fans who really hated the pick but I loved Rodgers pick that year because Rodgers was a true star . A Number 1 overall QB that somehow slipped through to the Packers . Jordan Love on the other hand is a total joke that only the worst GMs in the league had on their first round board ! I let the door open on evaluation of Gute but that door just shut ! Gute just lost his job yesterday because he drafted Jordan Love over ACTUAL TALENT . Jordan Love played in a trash offense in a trash conference in the Mountain West and he was not even the star of that division ! He was all 2nd team mountain west . Straight garbage . This was the beginning of the end of the chance to win championships with Gute as GM of this franchise . I really do not care who they took at 30 but to trade up for no reason other than one of the teams above you telling you they were going to draft a man with first name Jordyn (Brooks) . So Gute loses his mind and trades up for a player who would have been available in round 2 maybe even at #62 and picks him at #26 . Mountain West QBs are not NFL stars and if Jordan Love had the kind of talent to be considered in round one of a draft he would have transferred through the portal into a bigtime school who needed a QB like TCU or USC . Instead he stayed at a dead end school and played like a dead end Qb for an entire season in 2019 . This was pure proof Gute is way out of his depth .

Clemson Die hard

Please give Aaron some weapons GB

James LaBrue

And if he doesn’t pan out at what point do fans start to question the front office. You just traded loyalty for the 26th pick on a hunch. You better be right.
