This really shows how bad of a talent evaluators these coaches are. Howard and Scott should had been playing at the beginning of the season. These coaches are in way over their heads.
This team keep players based off sentiment. Boston is a good story because he play like Sproles. Gainwell is a good story because he’s Fletch cousin. Howard should’ve been sharing carries with Sanders from the jump but these team would rather play players because of a narrative.
The coaches and most of the team are brand new. Its a rebuild. What did everyone expect? But they’re figuring it out. I predict 10-7. Even 9-8 would be astounding for a rebuild year.

When we initially got Howard from Chicago, him and Zeke were neck and neck. Howard got lost for 1.5 seasons, and he seems back. I’ve always loved Jordan Howard as a football plays. I’m glad he’s still with the EAGLES.
Some haters and so called fans said this man was washed. Glad he proved them wrong. 👏
He as a player wasn’t and isn’t washed, clearly, but the coaches before also clearly washed his name off their roster list.
At least we were lucky he didn’t get signed elsewhere and then we’re that dumb to not bring him back, even if he was on the squad for a little. (I think they felt comfortable with no one taking him from our practice squad because of how long he was a free agent and every team has had a while to make that call) just my opinion, plus there were other close battles at important spots and Roseman isn’t the type of GM to favor most running backs except one he drafted early like Miles; otherwise they’re not off limits of being traded or released.
I’d like to see them keep up this kind of running attack when Miles gets back. He will be hitting a lot of home runs up the left side for time to come if we do continue to at least be 50:50 if not 60:40 run because he’ll be behind a behemoth of a man in Jordan Mailata as well as big boy mauler Landon Dickerson usually along with Kelce sneaking up to the second level too.

Sanders&Howard should be #1 going forward. Move Scott back to #3 but get him involved in situations/return game like he has his whole career. If Reagor trends in the wrong direction, let Gainwell start at the slot. Much better athlete and playmaker rn, who knows the position well.

Howard has shown alot of patience as well, waiting for the holes to develop before hitting them. He should have been on the 53 from day one, but good that he’s in now. honestly, I think Lurie and Howie are trying not to be a running team and that’s why Howard, who we knew could be effective, was left off. it makes no sense to have both Boston and Gainwell on the 53, as they are essentially the same type of back.
