“Bend But Don’t Break” is not a defensive scheme nor a defensive philosophy, it’s an excuse for ” I don’t have a scheme nor a philosophy but I’ll gladly accept that seven figure paycheck from you. He’s running that defense because it’s the latest fad in the NFL, this is what pisses me off about young folks (coaches) today, no originality, I’ll just do what the other guys are doing. If I had interviewed him and he told me that “Bend But Don’t Break” was his defensive scheme, I’d have told him “thank you for your time, don’t call us we’ll call you.” I hope he does get hired somewhere, he won’t last 3 years, I can look at his face and his body language and can tell he’s got nothing new or inspiring for a team.

@MartyMcford Where in my post did I say I like Jim Schwartz? I’m glad he’s gone too, his defense could never get off the field on 3rd down, even 3rd and long was no guarantee for his defense getting off the field.
@badboyvr4 so clearly you want our defense to get 30s put on them…all y’all want is more blitzes please tell me the defense that is super aggressive blitzing and top ten in all the important defensive categories…yeah you may speed the qb up slightly and even sack him sometimes but you’re also giving up more big plays
@badboyvr4 did you not watch the game or something? We played a all around poor game offense defense and special teams…it was a horribly coached game all around. Doesn’t matter who the dc was we weren’t winning that game nor were we going to the Super Bowl. We improved the whole season but dropped a dub in the last game. I don’t know what it is about other eagles fans we clearly didn’t have the talent to go far but somehow y’all expected us to beat team with far superior talent make it make sense bro what did you expect
