I absolutely hate this for Kyle Fuller
Casual fans need to understand how important yesterday’s win was because the Jets basically tried to duplicate what the Dolphins did last year. THE DIFFERENCE WAS THE WIDE RECEIVERS. Duvernay, Robinson and Bateman. We still don’t have a running game at the level Roman’s scheme prefers but he showed his flexibility/adaptability and these new WRs made that possible. The Jets basically took away the running game and the TEs and said “We don’t think Lamar and the WRs can beat us.” They lost that gamble. Expect the Dolphins to take the same gamble. NFL defenses will force you to beat them consistently before they change.

Future opponents will probably prefer to protect the deep ball after Lamar’s showing so that should open up the TE and RBs

@RomeoU yup! Lamar deep ball accuracy is insane. Lanar will keep killing these defenses deep, than they will change up an start giving the underneath stuff so the tightends and run game can eat. Then defenses will have to pick their poison.

The Jets used the Cover 0, like the Bills, Titans, Steelers and Dolphins because it IS successful against the Ravens. As mentioned, the receivers took quick routes and the one time that Lamar had plenty of time, the route to Bateman opened up. This is the main difference, getting the ball out quickly, timed routes and not getting jammed at the line. The Raven’s did OK with this but STILL need quicker reads and responses. The Dolphins have a faster LB crew and close off the run routes even better than the Jets did. The Raven’s HAVE to beat the Cover 0 early or it will be a LONG day in Baltimore.
Also this was literally Lamar’s start in awhile. Didn’t play a single preseason. Snap. Imagine when he really works all the rust off.
Well likely was on the field 50% of the time and was important for that quick read role but Lamar could t establish any trust hopefully he learns from his mistakes and calms down into the soft spots so we can really tear into this coverage style. Feel like he was rushing because of how fast the jets were moving up and jamming him

You can tell how bummed he is by the Kyler Fuller injury. Out for the season is a huge miss and now you have to put the rookies out there. Who knows if they can step up to the plate. Two games in and we’ve already lost two starters. 1-0 but the 1 is silent.
OL played better when James went out. Kyle Fuller is a big loss but we’ll get Peters back eventually, it’s a long season
Don’t kill me but I think Justin M would be a really good edge throw a Lil bit of him at edge a good 30% rev it up to 40% see how he does he’s strong fast and I think he would really excell at edge
