The RB room probably the deepest far as depth. We will be fine
Good thing is we have a lot of depth at the position. Plus, you can put any RB back there and they will still produce because our sytem is built for running the ball.

I’ve actually seen his name pop up on quite a few reports. Always “catching out the backfield and has good burst”… those seem to be the reports. He’s doing fine.
He’s been talked about some. He’s doing well.
I haven’t read too many articles. Watching the interviews and camp practices just haven’t seen him.

For some reason I just can’t see it as a 0%-worry development that Linderbaum is gonna miss pre-season games. He’s a rookie, even if a first-round one. Every opportunity to play against real opponents before the games start mettering is golden. He’s gonna miss some of it. That’s cause for at least a little concern in my book, even if Harbaugh – understandably – tries to downplay it.
Sucks to make sense uhhh… I just dont get these guys, putting a rookie in with no contact conditioning on the o line is asking for trouble.
I’m not worried, he wouldn’t have played anyway but you’d rather save him for Week 1. Plus we are not making the mistake of playing our starters in the preseason ever again even if it costs us our record streak.

We can’t possibly know that, can we? I do think he would have played – he is a rookie, he needs real NFL exposure. The fact that he is projected to be a starter only makes this exposure more important. Veterans missing pre-season games is absolutely fine, they have been-there-done-that. Rookies haven’t. Sure, missing pre-season games won’t break his career 🙂 – but I do think it won’t help him start his work in the NFL.
(And anyway, pre-season games aside, the sheer fact that he has to miss at least 2 weeks for injury about a month before the regular season kickoff is concerning.)

That cleared – if you think missing 2 weeks (at least 2 weeks is what Harbaugh is mentioning, not one) a month before the kickoff of the regular season, plus missing exposure to real NFL games is no problem then good for you. I doubt it’s good for Tyler though. I do think it is cause for some concern, because it hinders him getting proper ready for the regular season – and he will need it badly, like any rookie will, first round pick or not. Sure, it’s not a catastrophe – but not a non-issue either.

So Lamar passes the ball all last season because we had no choice and does and excellent job . Now he gets with a trainer and improves even more . So why would i think we would expand on the progress we had last season .only to hear Mink and Garrett on the training camp presser say Lamar build up muscle and he should get more rushing yards this season. What are the running backs getting paid for. Let Lamar throw the ball . Why can’t we get some balance on both sides of the ball . This is necessary if we want a Superbowl.

He’s a dual threat qb. That has an effect on defense if they don’t know what he is going to do. Thats the whole point

@king shark he was doing too much. i’m not gonna apologize for those egregious numbers, but throwing 4 picks in a game and missing 5 games didn’t help his numbers last year. he was on pace for 4k passing and 1k rushing 32 tds and 12 ints before he fell off after missing the Bears game. 16tds 13ints isn’t who Lamar is year in and year out.

U right, it isnt him, yr in and out and neither is encroaching upon 4000yds passing and 1000yds rushing. Because as we see, without proper development, lamar can go from a hall of fame looking colts game, to a what in the hot mess is this browns and Miami game.
