Blitz? Wdym? We only have 2 of the best pass rushers in the league and some of the (in theory) best DBs that can rush the QB….. and you want to blitz? Nah I’d rather play soft zone coverage every play and give recover 5 yards of space each play.

@R7w ahhh that’s why our defense is only letting 10-17 and our offense can’t get passed 20…. Hmmmm seems like our offense is slacking. Injuries or not our o line is basically healthy…

Exactly….this second time around is starting to have the same whiff of utter incompetence as Sashi Brown’s one and thirty record. Woods once again shows himself to be clueless. Your players are paying attn to the OBJ drama and probably could care less about Cinci. We’ll have that answer after the game on Sunday. The bigger problem is how aloof the HC and Front Office are which seem clueless about the pulse of the locker room the three of them built. If they knew and still didn’t move OBJ by the trade deadline, all three are incompetent as well. What happened was three shady dudes publicly did a hitjob on our qb Baker Mayfield and it was coordinated by a washed up OBJ. Any player liking videos that are a hit piece on one of their teammates is absolutely pathetic as well period. Baker manned up in front of the cameras and OBJ is in hiding. That tells us all we need to know.

Coach, why is it we get sacks and stop the other team when we press coverage on the outside, yet on 3&5-10 we play 15 yards of with our corners.

Joe woods, burrow don’t have a great deep ball so we don’t have to play soft zone especially when the front office paid this defense to be great u don’t spend 40mil in free agency for no reason

A Little Of Everything
We played a good defensive game overall but when it counted the most you did not get it done. Just think of it on the reverse, if you play a bad defensive game but but in the fourth quarter when it counts the most you make the right stop at the right time and you win, that’s what we need. Both offense and defense need to make the place when it counts the most in the fourth quarter.

Thing is, “sometimes” they do. Then someone of offense makes a bonehead play. Offsides, dropped pass, fumble. This goes back to KC when Chubb fumbled. Not blaming him, but like you said, one play can change a game.
