But my pff mock draft generator told me these guys were mid rounders. I feel like we get overly invested about picks after round one. Rounds 2-7 are really meant to add depth. Armchair GMs annoy me bc they don’t really know what is going on in war rooms. The NY media is terrible too. They are so subversive. They ask stupid questions. So, it is nice to see Schoen respectfully cut them down.

The WR was projected somewhere in the 3rd and our 3rd picks both might have fallen to the 5th so a lot of people are angry because they reached badly on all 3 picks, also Nakobe Dean was on the board every pick and should have been taken every time

@Bull Fc exactly. 2nd round was 3 reaches. that’s how you build a loser. the giants have been drafting like this for a decade. fans might think the new regime can smooth this over but when you don’t take the best available player and reach you usually lose. same story with every new giant gm and coach.

Said the same thing with Gettlemen and the only thing he did was get us 2 1st round picks via trade. These picks seemed like reaches. There were more accomplished prospects on the board and if we want best available we didn’t do that imo.

@Hauler totally agree. A lot of big names they passed on today on day 2. They reached today on their picks when could have been had on day 3.

Multiple teams passed on those same big names. Schoen picked the players that they liked and fit their scheme, if the players ball out then who cares what pick they were selected

Shoen picked the players that works with what they are putting in place.

@Idris Salaam That’s what I think is being missed here with some people. If you look at their picks, there is an identity forming of how the offense will be play. It’s pretty much mimicking what BIlls do.

Of course we don’t know if it’s all going to work out, but I would think people would appreciate a team that is trying form a strong identity.

And it should probably should take at least 2 maybe even 3 this team is horrible right now and rushing is what is keeping us in this same loop of 4-7 win seasons with no cap flexibility

Giants have talent they were not using correctly at all last season

The Eagles needed to retool…we need(ed) to rebuild. We’re still in a salary cap deficit. Hopefully the cap space will open up a little next season, but this is definitely a rebuilding year, even with the blue chippers we drafted at 5 and 7. Usually takes a year for those guys to take off (think Thomas during his rookie season to last year). With whatever happens this year, I do have faith in Schoen… The man definitely seems prepared and like the bills gm said, no one is going to out work him.

Nobody can argue the positions we took today. They were all needed. I think what everybody has been bent out of shape about is the individual players. But these guys are professionals and know these players better than we do. How many of them did you watch play? ESPN was projecting Malik Willis as day 1. Some fans wanted him at 5! I’ll take Thibodaux, thanks 😊 🙏
