Joe seems likable and about business 👍🏽

Trevor Walker

The future is bright with these two in charge. We gotta trust in the process and hope that the guys that they drafted whether it was for value or to fit the scheme they in vision makes an impact. We’ll know in 2 to 3 yrs from now if they made the right choice. No point of grading it right now. Go G-Men!!!

    Bill M

@TheRealtor how can you automatically trust anyone who is new to a job, with zero experience in that position, and no work history in that position to suggest performance will be exceptional? We have been “trusting” Mara’s selection at GM and HC for 20 years or so, look where that got us. Just terrible.
No my friend, I don’t trust Joe or Brian at all. They have to earn that trust with performance.

    TheRealtor

@Bill M I’m literally agreeing with you. I just think, personally, that I’m a guy that has a little more optimistic outlook rather than pessimistic.(It’s just healthier for me)
You’re saying “let them win games to earn my trust” and I’m saying “Let them win games to prove I was right to have hope.”

    Bill M

@TheRealtor I hear ya, and I used to be optomistic about the GMEN, but the last decade has been especially miserable. ;). But I wasn’t impressed with Joes draft after the first round. Weirdly dropping back and then reaching. Most important rounds are 2nd/3rd for any GM in my opinion. Not sure Joe nailed it this draft. Hope Im wrong.

    TheRealtor

@Bill M Believe me I know that this hasn’t been a fun stretch for us Giants fans, but it will get better. No problem like you said let’s just wait and see💯💯

    Pinnacle Productions

@Bill M we got Kayvon who has not just the talent, skill, explosiveness, but he has a winning attitude, we needed an edge to play the opposite end of Ojulari and we got him.

We needed to add to the line, we got a great OL who has the size, strength, and power who can play LT, RT, or G. Evan Neal was the guy I wanted.

We got a good WR with great elusiveness, another G, CB, LB, and I’m happy with all of our picks.

Of the 11 picks we got 9 different positions and added depth we desperately needed.

I like all of the moves Shoen and Daboll have made so far, I like Davila attitude and the way he works with players so far, 5 Bills followed him here and love him. What does that say?

Everyone was upset about Toney, Daboll got on the phone and got him to show up for Voluntaries. Daboll is a players coach that is already easy to see, we know he’s got a modern Offense which we desperately need especially with the players we have.

I’m not expecting us to win the division or anything but I do expect a much better team that is run a hundred times better than how Joe way over his head Judge ran the team.

Yes they need to prove themselves to us. We are all jaded because as fans Mara and his poor decisions has made us all suffer for over a decade. It all started when he fired Coughlin over Reese who he ended up firing two seasons later. Then we had DG who made a lot more terrible decisions than good ones, and of course 3 coaches who were not built to be HCs. I see a huge difference between Daboll and the last 3 coaches we’ve had.

He is a players coach whereas Judge was an old school wannabe tough guy who treated pros like high schoolers. Shurmur is a good coordinator but doesn’t have what it takes to be a HC.

And McAdoo at least ran a modernized Offense, but clearly had none of the skills it takes or personality to be an HC.

Daboll has the personality, he has the leadership skills, and he runs a modern offense, and I couldn’t be happier to have Wink as DC, and I’m sure Kafka is going to do well as OC.

I am looking forward to seeing how they turn this organization around.

So far so good compared the the last GM. All the roster voids addresses as well as the depth chart looking better. Can’t really criticise any of the new picks.

    Adam Carman

I mean, Joe literally described an offensive lineman he drafted as “a huge human being”. Kind of sounds like something I’ve heard before. Same with using the term “upside”.

    Klassic KC

He got some real hog mollies

    Adam Carman

@Klassic KC Right. “With lots of upside”. Where have we heard that before?

    Klassic KC

@Adam Carman I’m not the most excited about the day 2 picks but I’ll hold off my judgement to see how everyone fits in

    Adam Carman

@Klassic KC That’s kind of where I am as well. Like Fox Mulder, I want to believe!

Jaquan Taylor

Thank you Joe Schoen getting us tons of O-Linemen something that the last regime couldn’t do. I’m confident our O-line will be much improved! đź’Ş

Jonny V

I’m happy with this draft, I give it a solid A

    adambigblue

@Bill M I agree sky Moore was still out there but in a way this kid is versitable can line up in the backfield special teams we will see but I agree way better value at other positions even 1st Rd talents still available when we took the wr hopefully it works out for us

    James Trusock

@Bill M Giants wr corps are full of injury prone and some of them are on last year of contract. It don’t make sense on the paper, but it actually make sense in long term. All left is if he turned out as they hope from him.

    Bill M

@James Trusock I hear ya, but if you’re worried about injuries WHY pick a 5’8 178 pound WR to play in the NFL? Look at his film, he’s slow (watched him get run down several times) and tiny. He will get killed in the slot by NFL LB’s. Plus we already have a slot wide out. Waste of the very important second round pick. Oh and also he had 10 drops last season. Not good

    James Trusock

@Bill M Let’s agree to disagree. Let them pay a snap first then we will talk.

    Bill M

@James Trusock so if your GM you pick a midget slot given all your other needs. No way Jim. You are way too smart.

johnny ortiz

A+++ for me on this draft, got the best two players in 1st round IMO, drafted for teams need and scheme fit in day two. traded back to get more picks. as a diehard Giants fan, hope is back.

    Michael Vastardis

A+++? Don’t get me wrong what we landed in the 1st round was A++..but what Schoen did value wise was questionable throughout..I’m looking at this overdrafts chart and we overdrafted on a player or 2 in every round after the first..the 2 3rd rounders at 67 and 81 were projected 143 and 204..that is unbelievably bad value..and even in the 2nd we started that rd with the 36th pick and ended up taking the 71st ranked player..Highly questionable..I’m elated with the 1st 2 picks but I’m concerned they just fell in Schoens lap..after that we didn’t play the board right

    Andy Beltre

@Michael Vastardis cuz the people who make projections are always right??

    sean emerson

    @Michael Vastardis according to who?

    Gabe /

@Michael Vastardis you’re no GM buddy you literally don’t know more than them

    Anthony Desenso

@Michael Vastardis ranking don’t mean much amon ra st brown was like the 30th wr taken last year and he’s a stud

VeeLi

In Joe and Daboll we trust 🙏🏾💙

    Bill M

Why? They have no wins yet.

Brian Joyce

I see what they are doing.. they are drafting guys who are versatile that way you’re entire team is well rounded and not relied on one guy to do one job.. depth and versatility is what wins you games down the stretch and in the post season

    Mark Kindle

    Brian Joyce geat assessment

Thomas Gallagher

As Brandon Beane’s asst in Buffalo, Schoen hit on mid round draft picks consistently and that is one of reasons Buffalo is set up for a several year run now. Lets hope he does this w the Giants. Either way, there’s real football people in the room now making decisions

    Tony Lawliet

the David Gettleman and Joe Judge era was truly a scary era for Giants fans I’m so happy it’s finished lol

Andrew Arbuckle

The Giants drafted future stars. Thibs and Neal are going to be star players and the rest will be gravy. I’m happy with the draft and look forward to the next moves they make.

Silo-Ren

Started off with a amazing first two guys, with ppossible gems in the mid late rounds. Let’s go Big-Blue. đź’Ş

Lorenzo Hernandez

In Schoen we trust! 🙏🏼

Chris Stubbs

Done well for first draft and Joe has already done more for our o line than gettleman ever did

Rick Kemner

Love the attitude and outlook these guys bring to Big Blue! đź’Ąđź’Şđź‘Ť

Stanley Hochfeld

Solid draft. Have to emphasize keeping out skill players healthy this year. The expectations shouldn’t be super low. They should be the same as last year. The roster is solid imo need to stay healthy this year.

Jesse Green

Love these two guys Shoen/Daboll for what they have done thus far. The most outstanding thing I’ve witnessed is the reaching out to previous Giants players like Strahan and Osi in helping in the development of players picking their brain on choices from these Hall Of Fame guys. So ready for upcoming season fans we definitely have it right this time and definitely praying it shows on the field 👊🏿 go Big Blue!

Christian Reagin

Our reporters have always asked a lot of dumb questions. I love that these 2 guys don’t mind being blunt when answering them. I think our players will have a lot of respect for it as well.

Amazing Guy

I love how forthcoming Schoen is

Martin V

I have to say, I was happy after the first round how well we did, and not so when we started to trade down. But after doing some research and seeing where we were going and how many holes we had, I got what they needed to do. I’m very happy with our draft and I’m looking forward with our new GM and our new coach.
