Nathanael Kim

this man needs to call some better plays. trash gameplans vs ravens and patriots

JDNord

Need better offensive playcalling

Steven Aguirre

Should’ve kept Pep Hamilton as OC!

    Jordan T

We could’ve promoted Pep to OC for sure.

    Urban Link Sports Ent.

    I said that..

    LEGION 13

    For sure.

    Robert D.

Yes, I wished they HAD Pep stay on , too ?

Larry Cipriani

Open it up! Throw deep a few times on the Eagles. Use the super powerful and accurate arm.

    evolintentz1

@Jordan T good points all around….but at the end of the day do you really think Staley ain’t paying attention??…..I personally can’t wait to see what that man cooks up for the draft….and free agency next year….even tho I know that’s a stretch for the Chargers lol

    JDNord

@Jordan T at this point we should let pipkins give RT at try 😂

    four_bet

The deep plays are there. Just getting rushed on the right side and not having enough time or check downs are open for a 1st.

    John C

    there are no speedy receivers.

Carlos Hernandez

Throw that thing down field!! Lfg bolt up ⚡⚡⚡

Emmanuel Vazquez

Herbert out here confuse cus this guy has handcuffs on him

    Robert D.

    Swing Pass Joe !

Richard Jimenez

If you eliminate the dropped balls and better protection – we have different outcomes offensively.

    Robert D.

And the SH#T play calling !

Jordan T

A lot of the offensive struggles have been drops. We are in the top 3 in dropped passes in the league.

Take away those drops and a lot of those drives stay alive and we score.

I don’t think playcalling is that much to blame yet.

    Jordan T

@Robert D. Corey has only had 4 penalties this year. Higher than past years for sure but he also is in charge of calling protections to free up Herbert. He has a lot on his plate in terms of pre-snap as opposed to the Packers (or really mostly any other QB that isn’t a rookie) where the QB calls the protections.

As for his actual play, I think he’s played outstanding so far. He hasn’t allowed any sacks at all this year. In fact, I believe he’s the highest graded player on our line per PFF last time I checked and he’s graded as something like top 5-ish centers (might even be linemen) through these first 7 games with us.

    Robert D.

@Jordan T I think you WRONG on the sack thing ? I have seen a couple of sacks, come right up the middle ? So your saying those were on the guards correct ? Also he had a holding call & a false start flags in 1 game ? 2 false starts flags in back / back games , so that is 3 flags ? So, your saying only 1 more flag , a holding flag for his 4 flags ? There is 4 flags I have pointed out to you ? PS , he has NO more problems on his plate , then any other center in the NFL , now , does he ? They were saying he’s the best , a All-PRO , ok ? I see a ROOKIE center for the Chiefs playing , just about as good , a ROOKIE ? 2 Line man on this team are doing good , BUT, even they have had a down game this year ? Left side of our OL , if you were wondering ?

    Jordan T

@Robert D. You might be confusing Feiler’s sacks with Linsley’s. Feiler has allowed 3 sacks.

    Jordan T

@Robert D. Check PFF for yourself or any site that counts sacks allowed.

Linsley has 0 sacks allowed this season. Feiler has 3.

Linsley is rated 4th in the league of all centers this season. He has played lights out for us.

And watch any postgame with Linsley, Staley, or Herbert he absolutely has more on his plate than most centers. They put him in charge of calling protections to free up Herbert to read defenses.

    Ernesto Gastelum

@parker stephens he said “Justin Herbert needs to DO” not go. he is saying that Herbert should get on the Olines face if he messes up badly like Rivers

Daniel Holmer

Lombardis not a bad coordinator, look back and see what he had when he was with the Saint. He had Brees(HOF QB), Ingram(bruiser back with what I believe really good ball carrying skills), and Kamara(skills back that made big plays). I’m not a offense coordinator, so I really can’t say much. What I do know is that you can’t call ‘play action’ plays and expect them to work without running the ball. You have a decent running back(Eckler) to run and catch the ball, is he an every down back? No. Don’t get me wrong he’s good, but he’s not an every down back. Gotta get a bruiser back, and have that Tomlinson/Turner tandem like we had in the past to tire the defensive line and give Herbert time. The Browns, in my opinion, have a solid set up when healthy. We missed an opportunity to get Adrian Peterson(Titans), but there’s gotta be a “punch you in the mouth” running back in free agency they can pick up. Anyone know what’s up with gurley? Possibly convince lynch to play?
Lotta folks hated on Gordon, but look at him now, he’s doing great! He’d be AMAZING with this team now.

    Joshua Taylor

getting a bruiser back will not move the needle for us. I disagree on ur point about ekeler, if we want him to be an every down back I think he’s capable. he’s elusive and incredibly strong, while also being one of the best pass catching backs in the league

    Robert D.

Daniel , then YOU , also NEED to go back to his[JOE] Loins days too ! Play calling was REAL bad there & he had [MATT } ? Who with a NEW system {RAMS } Might get a MVP ? SO, no swing pass JOE still [ sucks } !

    Martiniano Valdez

He was a qb coach at New Orleans, had nothing to do with coordinating or play calling. We has out-coached by Bill Belichick defense, plain simple…..

    Robert D.

@Martiniano Valdez Will he WAS a OC with the Loins . Go look that up .So , your saying QB co have [ NO ] in put in what types of plays / calls a QB gets to run ? OK ?

Gearard LeFore Jr.

This is the most bipolar offense right now. No identity just playing randomly it feels like.

    Robert D.

They got a [ IDENTITY ] , swing pass JOE , idea for the last 15 years ? Loins, Saints & now here ?

James Brownson

Amazing how he blames the players but takes no responsibility for his failure to learn from his own mistakes.

    Robert D.

Bingo ! Swing Pass Joe & the whole NFL knows this for the last 10 to 15 years ?

OUTERSPACE STRETCH

This team is young just give it time I bet we start winning a lot of games

LEO

Maybe if the receivers could catch the damn ball we’d have a much different outcome. Kinda hard to get a drive going when your skill players all have butter fingers!

G 7

YOU CANT EXPECT EXCITEMENT WITH A DUDE NAMED JOE!

STEP IT UP OC!!!

Original One

No excuses but we do have a very tough schedule compared to other team’s schedule at 4-3 should keep our head up but definitely gotta polish up on the mistakes and gameplay.
Da Da Da Da Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈

    Eli Mozo

Hey justin Hebert also had a injured hand

    Original One

True and we need to adjust to whatever situation plain and simple we have the coaching staff and super stars to adjust.
    Let’s Go Los Angeles Chargers!
Da Da Da Da Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈

    Eli Mozo

Oh yes I have confidence that we can turn this around

David Rupe

The right side of OLine is struggling — Need to get Storm Norton some help — Herbert getting pressured — Speeds up the throws – and He throws with more velocity which leads to all the drops ….. This Team will be just fine and Coach Staley gets us rolling again this week …. Bolt Up Fans ⚡️⚡️🏆 and Can We get Some Powder Blue in the Seats for the Vikings or is Sofy gonna turn Purple .. C’mon Man!!!

Ryan Dahl

This guy has a lot to prove sunday…

Kexin

This coaching staff went from new-age genius to the same old incompetent clowns real fast. Its almost hilarious how real coaches unraveled their schemes. Last year Herbert was number one under pressure, this year if something goes wrong the ball goes into the ground.

    Ernesto Gastelum

thats on the receivers for dropping a lot of passes which it doesnt help Herbert in his under pressure %

LEGION 13

They playing Herbert like he is Drew & can’t throw the ball more than 20 yards 🤦. It makes no sense to dink & dunk or run screens every play. I’m with some of the other fans here it feels like they would rather get clout for coaching Herbert than just letting him play this honestly feels like another Anthony Lynn season & they clearly didn’t fix anything with the Draft just changed the players but the problems remain the same.
