Jacob Herschenfeld

this guy has done good. draft a wr sign jason peters. sign clowney if u can work a deal oit or sign a logan ryan

    Jimmy Donohoe

Jacob Herschenfeld shut up hersch… we’re not getting clowney…. you can’t just go around telling him to sign everyone, especially when we want to extend Jamal… I’m sorta set on drafting a tackle, but if we could sign Peters instead I wouldn’t be too upset with jeudy

Namath on the wall!!!!

John Bushnell

Expect a great draft, but JD will distinguish himself with the UNDFA’ ‘s, that will come to the Jets

Smoke Screens- (Joe Douglas is playing the field the correct way by not tipping his hand and making teams behind think that we want a WR with our 11th pick. The Raiders, Broncos, and Eagles are worried the Jets will swoop Lamb, Jeudy, or Ruggs first. These trade eager teams may try to jump the Jets by putting pressure on Andrew Berry, Cleveland’s rookie GM to potentially trade back. Teams will be blowing up the Brown’s phones and if they take the bait and decide to move back in the draft, this would be a huge win for the Jets since they both need a left tackle.)

Trading Back- (Luckily, the 2020 draft class is extremely deep and offers exceptional talent at key positions for Gang Green. There are a few key impact players that we can’t afford to wiff on so I am all in favor of trading back from the 11th pick, multiple times even…ONLY if Josh Jones remains on the board to fill the need at left tackle. If this happens, it will give us the ammunition we need for a guaranteed chance at getting Michael Pittman and Cameron Dantzler – both will be Day 2 picks that would normally go as 1st rounders in most drafts.)

1st Round-

11- Andrew Thomas-Georgia- OT (Drafting a tackle in the first round is not a sexy pick by any means but Jets fans are sick and tired of seeing Sam Darnolds jersey morph into different colors every Sunday. Starting 40+ games for an SEC powerhouse while playing on both the left and right side give him the edge in a crowded tackle class. The combination of his impressive wingspan and elite footwork make Andrew Thomas an immediate starter on one of the league’s worst offensive lines. The best part is that JD is not done revamping this unit so get ready for a different era of New York Jets football.)

2nd Round-

48- Michael Pittman- USC- WR (Finding a true WR1 is a glaring need for the Jets and the best way to help a young QB is to get him a big bodied target. Michael Pittman reminds me of red zone freak Brandon Marshall, but without the drops. Out of 176 cachtable targets during his time at USC, Pittman only dropped 5 balls which statistically proved he had the best hands in college football. Being such an athletic freak is usually the icing on the cake but it doesn’t end there; Pittman scored a 29 on the Wonderlic Test which was the highest among WRs. JD won’t hesitate to land a first round talent early in the second and knows the excitement he would bring to the fanbase.)

3rd Round-

68- Cameron Dantzler- MISS. ST- CB (The second tier of cornerbacks are being criminally undervalued but there are a handful of players who are Day 1 starters in the NFL – one of them being Cameron Dantzler. Playing in the SEC and already knowing how to perform on the big stage, this long 6’2” stud is ready to cover any WR in the league. The best part of Dantzler’s game might be his clutch-gene by being notoriously stingy on third down and getting his unit off the field. We will be lucky if he’s here at the 68th pick, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we traded up to not let him slip away being that the cornerback position is such a premium one in this modern pass heavy NFL.)

79- Matthew Peart – UCONN- OT (Building a team from the trenches takes commitment. I know we have addressed the offensive line during free agency and with our 1st round pick, but don’t be fooled that we are done. JD is really trying to flip the script by creating a winning culture and Matthew Peart is that locker room guy who leads by example. Though Peart is a long and freakish athlete, JD recognizes his off-the-field presence makes him a prospect that we cannot afford to miss. For the first time in decades the Jets find two tackles in the draft who are lifelong Jets and this completes the wall.)

4th Round- 120- Eno Benjamin- ASU- RB (Replacing Le’veon Bell is a priority for the Jets next off-season due to his lucrative contract. Hitting on the right guy is very important and the ideal player to throw into the mix is Eno Benjamin. Eno was the perfect security blanket for true freshman QB Jayden Daniels this past season at ASU and Benjamin will do the same for Sam Darnold. On and off of the field Eno leads by example and has been an absolute joy to watch during his time in Tempe. Being that he’s a small guy who plays with a huge heart, I can see him becoming an immediate fan favorite of Gang Green Nation.)

5th Round-

158- James Proche- SMU- WR (This is where JD proves his worth and finds a Day 3 gem in Proche. When watching his tape at SMU, you notice a guy who stands out with some of the nicest hands you will ever lay eyes on. The reason Proche will fall this late is because a) the class is deep and b) the GM’s think he is limited to only being a slot receiver due to his size. But rest assured, Proche will prove these GM’s wrong. Suddenly, the Jets will have one of the best young wide receiving corps in the NFL which gives fans hope that they finally have the right guy calling the shots.)

6th Round-

191- Trevis Gibson- TULSA- EDGE (People are typically scared of small school prospects but redshirt senior, Trevis Gibson was a game wrecker for Tulsa this past fall. Developing pass rushers is something the Jets have never been good at but knowing the nature of the trenches, JD will evaluate the EDGE position better than previous regimes. The best trait that Gibson offers is length and if we put him in the right position to flourish, he will have high production at the next level.)

211- Kindle Vildor- Georgia Southern – CB (Though Vildor was scouted as a bad tackler, Gregg Williams is the man to fix his downfalls to get the most out of this aggressive ball hawk. Vildor is a small, passionate player who dominated his lesser competition and is ready to raise the bar in the NFL. Getting Vildor late in the 6th will go down in history as one of the biggest draft day steals providing the Jets with an elite nickel corner that we so badly need to win rings.)

My Top 10 Picks – Joe Burrow – Bengals Chase Young- Redskins Tua Tagovailoa- Raiders (Trades 12th, 19th, and 90th picks to Lions) Justin Herbert- Dolphins (Trades 5th and 39th picks to Giants) Isaiah Simmons- Giants (From Dolphins) Tristan Wirfs- Chargers Derrick Brown- Panthers Jedrick Wills- Cardinals Henry Ruggs- Eagles (Trades 21st and 53rd picks to Jaguars) CeeDee Lamb- Broncos (Trades 15th and 46th picks to Browns)
