@thelegendsqb1 Mahomes threw an interception on his first game, and this guy had no preseason, had less utilities available to him than Mahomes, and still overall had respectable stats, just as Mahomes did on his first game. Mahomes had 280ish yards after 35 attempts… Burrow had 193, with 36 attempts and nearly 50 yards rushing. Burrow had over 100 yards throwing on the last quarter. He has already proven that he is the real deal in this game, he just needs a little more time to adjust, and to learn what he can and can’t do in the NFL.
Not to mention he had WAY more hype than Mahomes did when he first started, teams know that burrow is good, and have been watching every move he makes, and know that the Bengals are going to have him throwing a lot.
Never do a flip like that unless you’re 100% sure the person is wide open. Just a rookie mistake.

@Darius G I saw his talent early on in the 2019 college football season. Everyone thought I was crazy but I knew that he was going to bring lsu to the championship from the beginning. This guy will be a franchise quarterback.
As much as I wanted Burrow to win this game, this was a good wake up call for him, to show him that the nfl takes time to get used to, and that qbs alone cannot win games, it takes a whole team in the NFL. Burrow is the guy to take everything from this loss, learn from it, and improve to become the best quarterback he possibly can be.

You throw a pick on 4th down and it’s intercepted 99 yards down the field. That’s a good pick
No but most picks are tossed 5 yards away to the defender
I guess what they’re saying is that it’s an unnecessary throw/way off target. I’ve seen good passes get picked off for various reasons.

To be honest, considering he had no preseason and this is one of the toughest defenses he’ll play all season, he didn’t do half bad. If it wasn’t for A.J. Green’s pass interference and Randy Bullock’s missed kick the Bengals would already have half the wins they had last year

ericLT21 if A.J. Green didn’t commit pass interference, they would’ve won. Yeah, they might not have won in OT, but their offense was driving that last drive, so they had a good chance. I’m just trying to say Burrow did as good as you could ask for

Me being a Chargers fan, even I don’t think our D is one of the toughest in the league (not yet at least) especially when we keep playing that dreaded old ‘bend-but-don’t-break’ style of defense where we don’t get enough pressure on the QB, resort to playing deep zone/man coverage and allow big chunks of yardage when it matters most (mainly ALWAYS in the 4th qtr alone) In this game here, we allowed a total of 295 yds of offense (not good ….. but not as bad as the Ravens allowing a total of 306 yds of offense… 😛 but that’s another story…)
No doubt we need to get better on D, despite having two of the best pass-rushers in the league in Bosa & Ingram. The Chargers’ biggest weakness on D however is their inability to stop the run on 3rd down, and that’s what damn near killed them today.
For those saying a rookie mistake, must not have seen Melvin Ingram as well there.
