My favorite corner of in Ravens history. I made sure I got his jersey before he retired. Would have loved to have got it signed, Maybe one day.. thank you #22 Jimmy “Bean” Smith πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

Yeah man I’m right there with you. I met his cousins in Carson when Lamar flamed the chargers (not the playoffs), they were real cool people. They spotted me wearing the 22 jersey and we got a flick in, would have loved to have gotten it signed by Jimmy. #InlndEmpire909#ColtonCAboy

Shout-out ot Marlon for being one of the few consistent players on defense.

Keith Benjamin

Injuries kept jimmy from ascending 2013/2014 he broke out and started being a elite cornerback but suffered a injury and it just piled little by little from there but still one of great corners the ravens ever had….

DoMiNiQuE

Thank you Jimmy πŸ’œπŸ–€ it’s very true we love yall like family and can be brutally honest but most of us who remember what it’s like to not have a team and understand enough football to keep things in perspective so I always love watching Jimmy play it’s just something different about how he covered people.

U sound like you been a fan since 33rd street memorial stadium. That’s how long I’ve been around loving the ravens!!

    DoMiNiQuE

@Just DoinIt Well yes I was a lil girl my Dad didn’t take me to many games as he had my brother to take with him so My first Ravens game was some preseason Green Bay game at Memorial Stadium. My Dad and I were actually at the Green Bay Game together last year which we enjoyed even with the lost he’s older so this is his last year standing in cold weather watching our Ravens πŸ’œ

If Jimmy was out there, we’d be 4-0. His presence just settled the entire coverage unit.

Dusty Feller

Thanks for the lockdowns Jimmy. Whenever you were in, it made the entire defense 2x better.

That season Jimmy mentions when we went 5:11 but swept the steelers (with Ryan Mallett in the home game), he had a ninety-odd-yard pick 6, which was brought back because of an insignificant foul that had no bearing on the play whatsoever… I remember I was mad.

    RoBIN

I remember that too! I was so mad and felt so bad for Jimmy… that was a sick pick 6 too lol

    Just DoinIt

I’m so happy for dvr’s bcuz I get to record a lot n relive special moments over n over again.

While seasons end in ways I don’t like or expect, I feel blessed to be a fan of this team. There are so many current and former Ravens players that I love. Count Jimmy among them. Wishing him and his family all the best. What a great career. πŸ’œπŸ–€

Jimmy thanks for being such a cool cat and an awesome Raven

Just DoinIt

Thank you Jimmy for everything you have done for the Ravens!! U almost single handily won us a super bowl by putting the clamps on Crabtree in super bowl 47!! It’s a team sport but u locked him down and helped us win our second chip!! On top of all the other great moments u gave the ravens. I just want to say Thank you!! You will never be forgotten n always remembered. Once a raven always a raven!! Enjoy your retirement n your family. God bless. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’―πŸ’ͺ🏽

Watching my boy jimmy retire is crazy man. Definitely my favorite raven corner ever.

Andrew Rout

I remember when coming out of college thinking Jimmy looked so much like Chris McAlister out on the field. Turned out to be a very accurate portrayal of what was to come…the best press corner of their respective generations, absolute shutdown corners in man coverage and huge assets in run support. In other words, a complete player. Thanks for the memories Jimmy. See you at your Ring of Honor induction.

Preston McLeod

Happy retirement Jimmy Smith!! You’re now a Raven for life!! Played a big roll & getting us another Super Bowl title!

Pretty Sunshine

I became really upset when Damarion ‘Pepe’ Williams was given Jimmy’s number 22. I wanted to scream from the rooftops, “DON’T YOU DARE DISRESPECT JIMMY LIKE THAT”. I managed to restrain myself, because I remembered how much I trust and respect the decision makers in this organization. I am so proud of the Ravens for giving this respectful send off to retirement for Jimmy Smith. Jimmy has been one of my favorite players in the NFL, right up there with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. He suffered through a lot of adversity in his career/life, but always made his way back to be even better. That speaks of a great human character. Best wishes for your next endeavor/chapter Jimmy Smith. I have faith that you will find a way to continue to be a great human character. Hopefully, ‘Pepe’ Williams lives up to the expectations to deserve to be next to wear that number 22. Go Ravens!πŸ’œπŸ–€πŸˆ
