@Drupacabra 7 well there was not many options. Who would you have signed in place of them? And were they interested in play for the Jets?
@Chidi Tuke I would’ve drafted trevon diggs and kept Leonard Williams and Neville Hewitt to have a better defense
@Drupacabra 7 I would have rather had Diggs then Mims too but could a shoulda woulda. In hindsight all that’s easy to say but if JD took Diggs people would have killed him for not drafting a receiver anyways. Fact of the matter is JD tore down the team once he knew Gase was getting fired and now he’s building through the draft for long term success with Saleh and crew and in the long run it should pan out. JDs 2021 draft (only his second draft mind you) was spectacular and as these rookies grow he will look like one of the best GMs in the league. Especially because of his trades and ability to find quality players off of waivers. No GM is perfect but JD is a good one for sure.
@Chidi Tuke he swung and missed on Ashtyn Davis ,Jabari Zuniga, jamien Sherwood as well
@Drupacabra 7 Jamien wasn’t a miss he just got injured and Ashtyn is a developmental safety and should be depth but we’re depleted at safety. Zuniga is the only I would say is a miss and even he had a sack this year. Besides not every single pick will succeed it’s just how it goes bro. No team or GM in the league hits on every single pick.

After watching the Jets entirely just do incomprehensible things in the draft. Examples are many but start with, not taking Marino, Blair Thomas #2, Jonny Jones #2 overall, Jamal Adams in 2017 with DeShaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes sitting there. But, the Jets had so many QBs Josh McCown, Bryce Petty and Christian hackenberg lol. That is just a very small sample.
So, we hear about all these draft picks we have starting next draft, it makes no difference when have the Jets over 42 years ever made their draft picks count??
Oh, the worst pick of all will probably be Zach Wilson #2 2021. 43 years I’ve watched and played college football. In that time I have NEVER, Never seen a NFL QB either Tom Brady or Daniel Jones look so horribly bad for a large part of the season. He isn’t bad he’s horrible As in how the hell did this guy get on an NFL feild horrible. He’s so bad I can’t see him fixing EVERYTHING to turn it around. Remember Darnold, now he’s so horrible to everyone but people forget how much better Darnold looked than Wilson his first two years. At least you didn’t look at Darnold play and ask if this is an amateur football game? Wilson just looks lost like an arena leauge football player thrown to the wolves(NFL). NOT THE KURT WARNER TYPE arena qB. I don’t think Wilson could be good in the arena leauge either.
He’s so putrid it’s unbelievable to watch.
