Much respect to Coach Saturday, Todd Bowles lost Tampa the game with his poor clock management & didn’t call a timeout to give them a chance to kick a field goal. Fire Bowles!! He still defends his decision…We miss Bruce

I’m no expert as I’m from the U.K. 🇬🇧but I watched the Colts v Steelers game and the coach’s clock management was a joke . Why end the game with two timeouts unused ?
As a footnote I reckon the Vikings will reach the Superbowl but they need to stop conceding so many points.

The Philly coach should be made fully aware that the Colts’ last 2 losses had about 0.00000000% to do with Jeff Saturday. Even Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, and we can name a dozen such others were going down the last 2 games down the stretch. Without their key playmaker on defence (Leonard) the Colts were not able to close out games when they had a lead in the 4th.
In fact, I would tell the Eagles head coach what I posted after the Eagles loss on Stampede Blue. With the score 13-10 Colts and the Colts first and goal at the 3 very late in the 4th, where you figured they would be held to a FG and the Eagles would get the ball back (with what happened against Washington a few weeks prior a HUGE POSSIBILTY), the play call should have been run, run, run and GO FOR IT ON 4th down. If stopped altogether, the Eagles have to go a very long field where at least a chance to make a mistake. Sure enough, the Colts, who for years are not very good at first and goal situations trying to run the ball in, were held to a FG (there were 2 passing attempts), and the Eagles promptly took the kickoff and drove the yards needed to score a TD and win the game 17-16. How is Jeff in anyway to blame?
Last night, up 17-16, Steelers 3rd and 8 at about their 25, past the midway point in the 3rd. You figured this was the game. A completion and we kind of know where this is going. Steelers converted (tack on a 15-yard hit to the head of the QB) and were on their way. TD and 2-point conversion to boot.
So, yes, Jeff should have taken a time out, I was surprised they did not. But EVEN had they scored, and got the extra point, what were the chances the Colts would win? They could not even get into the end zone when positioned on a first and goal from the 1-yard line (where they fumbled!). This team without their big playmaker on defence to close out games is just not good enough, though the defence performs admirably, keeping the Colts in games, as they (VERY expectedly) did against the Eagles…how amusing was that opening line of Eagles -9. It quickly dropped to 7 when no doubt everyone piled on the Colts!

Not a Wilson fan at all, I wanted Rogers BUT Denvers Offensive line is trash. Open your eyes and call these guys out sometime as well people…And that DT that tried to call out Wilson was benched last year because he was getting smacked in the mouth and pushed around as RB’s were dropping 200 yards on us.. Only reason why the bench warmer is playing now is because Jonathan Harris is hurt.

Watching it I didn’t understand why the announcers were fussing over the timeout, you had plenty of time and lining up quick to give it to who’s supposed to be the best back in the league without giving the defense a chance to get organized made sense.

But the thought that we have a inexperienced play caller and the Steelers knew what the play was based off of tendencies with the formation definitely calls for 2nd guessing when you could’ve had a timeout and thought about it more.

I expect the colts to look at their own tendencies this week and design tendency breaker plays so that they are less predictable. At least it’s what I would do (I do it weekly at the high school level and spend the offseason studying my tendencies so I can get rid of them without over complicating my playbook.)

There is always a way out of a bad situation. Bench Russ. Tell him you are going to blow it up and rebuild team from scratch. “Would you like stay here as a backup or restructure and trade/release.”
