Following another solid performance by Josh McCown Monday night in Week 14, coach Marc Trestman reiterated that Jay Cutler would remain the team’s starter when healthy. Cutler has missed the past four games with a high ankle sprain.
Given McCown’s 13:1 touchdown-to-interception ration, it’s hard to take Trestman at his word. Cutler has yet to be cleared, and hiding behind his ankle again in Week 15 at Cleveland wouldn’t be surprising.
